Are Fears bugged?

Honestly, I'm asking this legitimately because it seems like there is some kind of dissonance with fears right now.

I was under the impression that fear was suppose to always break after someone takes 10% of their total health. Was this changed? And on purpose or by bug?

Can anyone else confirm this is not just in my head?

There's a threshold (maybe 20% of base health?, but it seems warlock fear never breaks on damage anyway) and rng (white hits less likely to break etc..)

my understanding is that whte hits do not count towards the threshold for whatever reason... but yes it does feel like I'm sitting in full warlock and dk dots with no absorbs and fear isnt breaking.

priest shield and other absorbs will not count towards the fear break damage either.

Ring of frost also does not break with dots on you. Fears are worse then ever. Bloodfear need to be a 30 sec CD skilless dumb talent

It might be bugged but I think it's mostly just that it takes more to do 10% HP, with DoTs especially; about 2x as long as in Cata cause DoTs are so shit

Always find it "fun" to sit a full fear and demos pet bringing me to 70% in that time without it breaking, followed by their cds. sucks to not have a tremor

same thing seems to happen to me in novas while frost orb tears me up. not really sure what counts towards the supposed threshold anymore

Any1 else noticed that fear pathing is retarded too? You just run at 50000% speed and NEVER STOP, so not only does it feel that every fear never breaks, but you get feared to south pole every time.

Remove blood fear / psyfiend anyway. most retarded 2 shit, altho psyfiend isn't too dumb cus his range is quite small

The most annoying thing about fear is, that your Characters hitbox/-size seem to be important, I played with a tauren paladin on Dalaran Arena and that fucking Cow had the worst fear paths you could ever imagine, like literally running a complete round around the Box and shit , fkin hilarious

happened to me when i was the subject who ate fear, i los'ed 3 casts and he was chasing me all around, quite hilarious.

Psyfiend is retarded, but its npc can be kicked/doesn't move, but blood fear is SUPER RETARDED, only way to prevent it is to have silence on lock 24/7.

Sitting in full fears with Spriests dots on me all day, only thing that seems to break fear is direct damage, not dots.

Maybe we'll hear from GC in a month.

Every CC in the game needs to break instantly on damage, aside from stuns. Especially if it's spammable, I don't understand the logic behind fear...


IMO every CC should have a cooldown..

last season i was able to sac fears and they would break after a few seconds as long as my team mate was taking damage, now someone could get globaled while i have sac on them and the fear would never break lol.

I reckon Warlocks should actually start TYPING that "/cast [@focus] Blood Fear" thing in arena to actually raise a skillcap from a drooling chimp to somewhat retarded beaver level. Just to make your arenas a little more fun, or something..

Sat in a 8 second fear with a rogue DPsing me all the way till it wore off (then sat in a 6 sec kidney). Confused if it means Rogues suck that bad, or fear is broken.
