well they won the worst blizzard tournament ever.. gratz I guess
[/quote]
I didn't watch any of the games (couldnt) but ye that was expected, we all know how horrible the state of the game is at the moment, at least now the devs realised it and they will try to fix a few more stuff(as if :P).

I don't understand why they increased the prize money or have a tourny with how unbalanced this game is.. Really did not care for whoever won this season is fucked atm and the tourny was just horrible I mean people getting solod by mages demo locks warriors randomly dropping people like I saw a rogue drop from 100% to 0 thru cheat death from frostbomb chaos wave. dafuq?

blizzard is stepping it up to promote their games like riot and valve.  clearly you pay no attention to esports in general, or you would have noticed that the WCS improved at least 100 fold over past global SC2 tourney's, including the idolized WCGs of 7-8 years ago (for broodwar).  No the game isn't balanced but if you have to be convinced that blizzard doesn't care about wow being an esport, I'll give the summary:

The event (for wow) was a marketing plan, not a declaration of how balanced their game was.  Would any company display their "balanced game" where monk, druid, priest, and hunter are not even played?

Besides this, there are a lot of other "game related" problems with the event (qualified teams qualified in a different expansion, players forced to reroll, current balance issues already mentioned).  If this were SC2, an event done because and for its esport nature, then the event certainly wouldn't have been run with these awful imbalances.

tl;dr- its simply ridiculous to think that this event was run for any majority stake for wow as an esport

edit: that being said, I thought the event was done well (relatively for wow tourneys), and bringing reckful was a really smart idea for viewership, expertise and entertainment.  The games were decent despite all the issues with the game and qualification.  Sad to see EG not win, as from the sound of it, they prepared more than everyone else, but lost because of composition :/

So they are promoting an unbalanced game? You just agreed with my post before. GJ

I just pray they see how broken things are in this game by watching this:

1 - Demo locks straight up
2 - gateway - could it be a bigger cd that is just available all the time to lock teams?
3 - burst in general - one team is winning, bam other team hits swifty macro and wins
4 - Spriest offhealing/mass dispell - it was a joke how easy life was for Cdew most of the time because of his priests healing and getting him out of most CC - Cdew is incredible, I'm not doubting that, but still imbalanced having his priest bring so much to the table
5 - DKs lol - I knew they were squish, but HOT DAMN
6 - Frost bomb - is there any other ability on a 10 sec cd that can alter the game that drastically over and over again?
7 - As a shaman who plays ele this season, I guess I wasn't fully aware of how fucking retarded resto is at the moment - but yes, by all means find a good solid nerf for them like the totems as spells one (just dont fuck ele/enh pls!!)
8 - I'm sure there are other specifics, but jeez - if this doesn't tell them that they either need to up consistent dmg or reduce # of defensive cds (or both?!?!) then idk what to say.  Games were 1-2 mins of NOTHING and then swifty macros vs. all d cds.   zzzzzzz.....

I had fun watching overall (as I usually do with online tourneys) but I'm looking forward to more of the player run ones - more fun for us.

All in all, grats to you guys on making mad loot while having fun playing a game and getting to see a cool part of the world.

I'm actually glad that Snutz brought it home. He's a really great player and after all the shit he has been through (like MLG in orlando 2009 "down goes venruki") he finally made it. Well deserved, all of you.

On a side note:

This game's become terrible to even watch. Only healer rapresentation on tourny was resto shammy (and 2 games of holy pala). Monks not even seen by far and they were supposed to be the big news in this expansion. Rogue proved to have insane burst dmg and lolsurvivaility... what does blizzard do ? Buff dmg and cc output. LOL
Were druids there at all ? Hunters  ? Warrior dmg IS NOT out of control. Jk Carà 1shottint stuff randomly. This not to mention the games Azael blew shit up pretty much solo. Wtf is this crap ? this is not even fun to watch. Nothing to do with players, but this was just SAD

gife stuff like this back :

peace

Vods are linked in the first post. Blizzard did an outstanding job with the vods, they were available pretty much right away. Last time it took weeks.
