You are aware that cara went there as a ret pala, and pretty much started to play warrior recently right? I mean he played great, very impressed but this happened mostly because people qualified on cata and played the tournement on mop.
Do you think snutz would have won this easily otherwise? If the qualifications were on mop as well, there would be a hell lot of more warriors, hunters and mage/shadow priest teams. The fact that they lost in the finals doesn't mean at all that warriors are not superior.
If anything another/zunn and cara are the real champions of this tournement, they all changed their main classes and apart from another the other 2 had never played their new classes before mop yet they managed to get to the finals.
i know he was a ret and that their whole team was basically playing on alts when they were playing warr/mage/sham because their main comp is bad in MoP. I agree with you completely. It is dumb that blizzard has the cata tourney qualifiers end up in the championships in a brand new, imbalanced expansion.
I think warriors are, by themselves, the most overpowered class right now. but the most overpowered comp seems to be caster cleave simply because demo and mages are almost as silly as warriors. it's also probably because warriors have always had a little trouble against caster cleave, so that even with as good as they are, it's still tough to overcome. still, it was just a tournament and we can't just believe it's a direct correlation of true balance, but just a general look at it.
zunni and co. did as best as they could playing alts vs people on their mains. all it really came down to(as it often does in wow) was who's main class is stronger than the other. sure would have been nice to see them play dk/ret/priest in cata for the finals instead
