Will update most things when I'm back at the hotel. Here the internet is blocked to such an amount it's pretty bad. No VPN working here,

I found the Mage lock shaman vs Spriest lock shaman games pretty entertaining. Especially the third game. I know there has to be time limits as some games would go on forever. But that could have been anyones games towards the end.

Maybe because the specs that require casting such as affliction and destruction don't work as there are a billion ways to stop casts instantly now?

Brackets are found here: http://www.arenajunk...nd-compilation/

Open the spoiler tag.

Tonight I'll try to blog more. I followed mostly the main stage, which had few series. Haven't seen Team EG play, yet.

Have some fun stories to tell, but writing longer posts at the tournament location is a bit hectic. Need my internet working to access things.

We got a confirmed interview with Bashiok and the winner team after the finals.

WoW had so much potential as a competitive spectator esport and watching this is just fucking depressing.

Back in the day these threads used to be huge... I can't believe how much the community has died. The tourney where button bashers broke out the thread was going off nonstop, I remember just spam f5ing it to keep up with what was going on.

I tuned in for a bit of wow before going back to sc2 and made me really nostalgic for the old days - but after seeing how bad the games were and seeing how dead AJ was it made me wish they could somehow just breathe some life into it :(

Its like I was sitting there nostalgic for my dead dog, and blizzard dug it out of the ground, tied strings to it, told me to wait 5 minutes, then showed up after 30 danced it around retardedly. There is clearly a market for this game but throwing it on a competitive stage right now is a joke. I hope they realize that the real chance at getting the "next dota" in china would be a well made and well balanced wow arena after checking out how huge the live audience is there, because I would come back to this game in a heartbeat if it was any good.

To be fair, it's being held at a shitty time for both US and EU so not as many people are watching.

The real stuff is still coming. I agree that using the old UI design instead of ArenaLive is a bad idea. What are your main issues when watching currently? Anything I can pass on that would help?

Btw: The Chinese really go crazy about WoW. The stage is full even after 30 minutes breaks nearly no seats are empty. They cheer and really get the feel. It can however be done a lot better, which is what stunlocked.com is trying to do.

20 minute ties with sometimes matches ending early because of retard burst makes for a really bad spectator sport.

That's balance, nothing that can be changed during a tournament. Talking more about tech-issues, stream, informations etc.

The timing was just bad, with the tournament being played pre-5.1. For example every single healer is a shaman. 10 of 10. And Resto Shamans tend to make matches a bit boring (just like unkillable resto druids did in S3/4/8).

It's at a difficult time for both US and EU to watch
There's way too many breaks, sometimes both streams are on break which is just ridiculous(Blizzard WoW tournaments have been known for this since forever.)
Most games don't have the match score at the top, while some do, slight annoyance.

Also, are they really playing matches off-screen while both streams are on commercial?
