Mages are retarded over the top and everyone knows it so instead of mage nerfs we need shaman buffs and 15 pages of qq how life isnt fair? Oh wait I know why you dont want mage nerfs 90% of you qqing shamans here play with a mage. Get over it and see how it is to die in 1st deep you got no trinket for

Did some more testing. It's getting the 30% and 50% on HoT ticks when used on partners, but when I Unleash Riptide myself the HoT only gets 30% bonus.

ill just say, totems while blanketed is kind of important (outside of water totems, healing stream/tide during blanket is kind of absurd)
i think all totems should be usable while blanketed except water totems, and no totems should be usable while locked.
conversely maybe no link during lock out/blanket, but water totems allowed during blanket (not lockout) would be better and more balanced idk.
before you guys flame me saying QQ more. I am not QQing truth be told i play my monk much more than my shaman. However, i was there before the quality of life shaman changes went through, and totems were 1/4 as important as they are now.

I somewhat agree with you, here's what I would do:
-Tone down unleash elements scaling with mastery, OR nerf shaman mastery/ES strictly in arena that way it doesnt affect PVE.
-Make mastery not stack with healing tide/healing stream, at around 10% my Healing tide was doing 100k+ heals on my ENTIRE party.
-Make totems useable if you are blanket silenced but if you get interrupted/locked out(while casting heals) you cannot drop them. This would put us on par with other healers in terms of lockouts and what not.
The nerf right now is a huge one to our already piss poor survivability.

short version: big nerf, way over the top... however, it makes shamans fun again and for the first time since season 8, better players now once again have a chance to shine on the class.
If you are in a bad spot, or make a poor decision or your team gets double feared on a switch to you, you probably deserve to die. Just need to bring down damage a bit for the more bursty classes (mages warriors you know the usual suspects), IE reverse pvp power increase or match it with a resil boost and the game might have a chance to actually be fun again.
(shamans are not the only healer who dies to being trained with stun silence combinations, and you still have a chance to live maybe upgrade BM trinket first with conquest boost system etc, it has great synergy with Nat Guardian talent)

This amuses me, the better players can shine by being locked out of everything? Maybe their partners can shine when you play teams still learning to cross cc properly during the stuns?
All you can do is hug LoS on the maps that don't punish you for positioning well (lol typhooned), ES before the swap and get healing stream running. Even doing this against a decent team won't help much.
Once everyone's stopped riding the unhealable damage/pressure train from the new pvp power (when blizzard finally DO pull their finger out and change this shit) and things stopped getting killed in the 1st minute then our issues are amplified. People will have more time to setup the swaps because strategy becomes a factor instead of the derp train that's running right now.
Being the underdog may have it's fun points, but it gets old quickly depending who you're trying to compete against and it's more the confidence destroying way blizzard handled the nerfs that get me. They had a chance to tone down shamans correctly, buff the other healers where they needed (offensive dispels, disc survivability/mana regen, paladins wizard vunerability etc) and they completely blew it.

like i said in my previous post, the pvp power change needs to be reverted and specific classes need to be dealt with on an individual basis.
The fact of the matter is we bring more to the table than any other 2 classes put together. Thereby, making us the best/strongest healer still. If you want to try to argue otherwise, i will destroy you with my intellectual superiority.

Means nothing when you're dead.
Damage is way too high after PvP Power buff that most classes are just able to overwhelm Shaman through damage. Just silences is enough to cause your to fall behind on healing immediately. They're just so easy to kill. At least that's what I found.
There's no way Shaman are going to be best healer, they require too much baby-sitting and straight up have to play with certain classes to survive.
That said, this patch is a joke and all healers are pretty terrible now.
