why do you guys want mmr reset? do you want to earn even fewer points compare to rbg as it is?

I think its fine if they just ban the ones at top, and reset their ratings. Not end of the world if some 1.2k players cheated their way to 2k or even 2.3k, they're still not going to get glad at end of the season

sure, some teams farmed the cheaters to higher rating. But none of it will matter once season drags on or supposedly inflation sets in. If they're good enough they can maintain the rating or they'll drop back down

Becouse people didn't cheat to 2k-2,3k only - most cheated to +2,7k or even above 3k

this is so dumb to aware them that they are going to do a kind of "banwave", now every "smart" exploiters are gonna disband their teams and keep the mmr to get instant gladiator/r1 with a new team

so just reset those, it shouldn't be hard at all to detect anyone above 2.5k MMR

So you think people will be able to reach the 3k rated #1 on Bloodlust?, since people say they just farmed wintrades and didnt exploit.

Who is talking about ban wave?
As if Blizzard is really going to ban all these people. The worse they will do is reset teams. I doubt they will reset every team since he is saying that they will take care of people who cheat only so there won't be any MMR or team reset. Probably they will reset a few people meaning it is still best to try to cheat and if you're lucky they don't reset your team.

you can't be serious... it fucked up everything not just the people who were directly exploiting.

the first day the exploit was major reckful kept getting queued into people who just were instantly leaving and every time after that he played against them their mmr was higher and he would just get free wins, theres no doubt that this effected every person that was playing arena in the last week and inflated mmr to the point where this season is a complete fucking joke

the only logical fix would be reset arena mmr, bg mmr and arena ladder but blizzard won't do that because they are blizzard

There would be a more logical way for blizzard to sort the situation.

1. Fix the bug
2. Ban those who exploited and reset their teams / mmr
3. Reduce the rating and mmr of everyone above 2.2k to exactly 2.2k

Would fix everything without affecting 95% of the pvp'ers. If everyone's rating gets reset to 0 and mmr to 1500, I'm sure the offical forums will be filled with people whining for weeks.

the reason they most likely aren't going to reset the ladders is the rating inflation change with 5.1.  they said 5.1 will not be a new season, so i suppose they believe their new mmr inflation system will fix the fucked up ladders.

I was thinking it would be stupid, but it's actually a nice/fun time sink esp since u can use ur pets on any toon
