This just in: Blizzard lied and they DON'T really care about PvP in MoP.

A hotfix just went live to fix this.

Leaving will now correctly cause the appropriate rating changes.

Bans are starting from today. Account penalties are:

- 72 hour suspension
- ALL Conquest gear removed
- Team reset

However, MMR/Achievements are not reset.

good news, but I highly doubt there will be any ladder resets of any kind
I'm glad I haven't played this season

I've updated my post with a bit more information.

It seems extremely unlikely at this point that there will be a ladder/MMR reset.

They "fixed" only a part of this abuse trick. Now u lose perso rating and team rating but the MMR still the same so now u need Toons and need min. 4 Teams to abuse this shit

well atleast they are trying to do something but they really should reset ladders and mmr

Some of you are making too much drama with the reset, of course it would be better to do that but if the 5.1 its inflating ratings it will be pointless, if we see 4k rating at the end of the season it wont affect nothing, the bad people its gonna be in their spot

Seems good that they are atleast doing something..
But still, removing gear.. but letting the dribblers keep achis/highest personal ratings.
And also not resetting ladders when some people farmed the exploiters to high ratings and they are now allowed to sit there?
Makes you wonder what the fuck they are thinking with..

How will poor Zark compete now?!

I am not sure if they will actually go through with this, at least for everybody who cheated. Are they only banning and punishing the ones who didn't disband?

They have logs of just about everything that happens, no reason not to look into things and see who did wat regardless of disbanding or not.
