S9/EARLY S10 was just the ability to play with low mmr players and as long as you're the highest MMR on the team gain the majority of MMR from wins. The most worrying thing about all this is that there is a guarantee that hundreds of people will continue to do this, but there is no guarantee that Blizzard will reset all of the exploited teams.


Edit: Doing this in every post until it's fixed, sorry for its irrelevance. Could a mod please remove s10 helm? I didn't get s10 glad. Thanks.  (Yes, I've already PMed admins multiple times about this ><)

He's talking about a different thing. Very early S9 there was a complete reset due to an exploit.

this mmr abusing shit has overtaken almost every bg now lol... a reset would defo be necessary. But without a fix to this a reset would be irrelevant, im sure this mmr abuse has always been in the game tho, right? I remember a handful of teams in previous seasons with negeative winloss and still @ r1 rating

Asians had teams at 3k+ rating /5k rbg rating last season already and some french people in EU on the Embuscade/Cataclyscm BG had some wintrade teams in 5vs5 aswell.

my money is on no reset to ladders. no reset to MMR. they will either just reset absurdly high rated teams or teams above 2.2k with a negative win/loss. it is no longer in their interest to create an organized, balanced, and competitive game. we sit here and hope that they would, but it just won't happen. we're in the 12th season and exploiting the system or having to deal with hacks or pve gear ruining the season seems to happen at least every other season.

the only hope for wow is that it becomes run by a different dev team or a similar, pvp based MMO comes along that is actually good. both are unlikely.
