I was looking at arena tournament teams & noticed all teams got a shammy or paladin healer. I thought druids were pretty good atm.

I think it is sham > druid > pally then monk and disc are worthless.  It's debatable though.

Druids are good, but probably take more skill than pallies or rshamans at the moment. Plus, all of the popular comps minus shattreeplay work better with pal/sham.

I really think druid only shine when paired with a mage.  The Iceblock gives them what they need to survive the zergfest these days.  I personally think paladin are stronger than shaman right now as well, paladin can afford to make many more mistakes than any other healer currently and still recover.  All of a shamans defensive abilities are either dispelable (Spiritwalkers Grace, Earth Shield) or in one moonfire/judgement/frost shock from another healer (Healing Tide, Spiritlink, Tremor Totem).  Resto Ascendance doesn't really help you survive warrior + another either, it's really only great for catching up after spread damage.  I mean, you can throw your defensive totems someplace else once dropped to buy you time, but 9 times out of 10, it's not the dps that are going to chase and kill your totem, it's the other healer.

That being said, I feel like with good peels resto shaman are devastating.  I just hate watching holy paladin run out in the middle of no mans land, get swapped too and still manage to get away, when that'd be a death sentance for me.

I honestly must say Shaman > Hpala > RDruid. Now you can argue, alright..but paladin is a good target for mage teams, that's right but beside that I want find insanely strong. The cc holy paladins have this season is quite insane and god annoying. Not much to say about Shamans, they are at the same state in cataclysm imo.

You can't really compete with a 30sec cd tremor, 9 sec cd grounding etc.
Though i do think paladins and druids both have extremely strong comps that are better with those respective classes than with a resto shaman.

Its getting boring now with how stupidly op shamans are, and pallies slowly getting on that level. Atm it's rsham>>pally>>>>>>>>>>>>>>druid>>>>>>...>>>disc=monk. Frankly i dont have enough experience with monk healers so i dont know where they stand, you see them once per 40 games, but they dont seem any good either. Obviously its comp specific but like someone said ealier you gimp yourself by not bringing sham to your team.

Popped a molly, I'm sweating.

LOL at how wrong the people discussing healers were in this thread, people second guessing like they know fucking everything.

Whilte shamans are better than druids, druids are still ace to play... i never really feel like a loss is because of playing druid but more so just the general game/1shot/mistake.

Monks seem to just flop if you cc them a little bit and then offensive dispel a few times

Tremor Totem and the power of Shaman heals continue to astound me.  When I play against a Druid healer, it honestly feels unfair with Blood Fear.  Pallys (and any other healing class) would probably feel unfair too, but I either don't see them (Monk/Priest) or they only play mongo cleaves who have to win in 30 seconds anyway (Paladins).

The entire Tremor Totem + Totemic Restoration + Blood Fear arms race is really fucking over all other healers.

That's exactly how I feel playing druid. Oh look a warlock. Oh look I cannot do jackshit to prevent getting feared. Blockblockblock quick. 2 mins later, same shit, they score a kill. Same with getting deeped into blanket. It just offers you no chance to do anything about it - shamans at least can "outplay" (?) a mage by knowing when to ground an incoming deep, they are unaffected by warrior fears (also a huge issue to other healers) etcetc.

Don't take this post the wrong way - I'm not complaining about druids. They're easly Gladiator capable (r1 if your team plays perfectly [jk mmrexploit]), they're probably where all healers should be at now. It's just I feel there is so much more room for mistakes while playing with a shaman healer. There is a reason why every legit r1 team on pretty much every battlegroup has a shaman healer. I don't understand how Blizzard think direct counters to certain ability are a good idea (the tremor totem vs intimidating shout for example), and I'm not even sure if locks themselves are enjoying that idiotic Blood Fear mechanic, do you really feel like you're outplaying someone when your team scores a kill from you insta fearing a healer?

I'm STILL puzzled to this day why won't they make effort to recruit some of the top players to watch over mechanics, and report/work over pvp issues. Pretty much 3/4 of AJ community would do a helluva better job than dogcrawler and his cronies do.

Popped a molly, I'm sweating.
