It's actually being played on the Wotlk client. You were close.
I'm not playing wow right now, but I still like this website so forgive me if my views seem outdated or wrong regarding the discussion. I simply want to contribute something to whatever is left of this community in hopes that others realize that this a public forum meant to support a community and not destroy it by continuously complaining and posting nonconstructive posts with gifs or negative/sarcastic shit meant to express superiority over other posters on the internet. Internet anonymity is unfortunately the detriment of this website and this community.

Blizzard has never downgraded their servers for tournaments why would they do it this time? =p It would also be bad PR for MoP if it wasn't played on the current expansion

Never understood their reasoning for it to be the new expansion considering those who qualified did so in a different expansion, and played at that level of play with a different set of tools.

kinda makes you wonder about the comps being played shadowplay during the qualifier was pretty damn good but in MoP im not really sure how its going to do against teams who qualified as KFC and such
