It was a gimmick and needed to be removed, there was nothing rewarding about winning with it

but now hunters need a bit of love to remain viable

how about a plethora of things brought down, stop singling out mages.  frost bomb, hybrid off healing, warrior burst, demo warlock...pretty much all one shot skills, offensive dispels, sustained buffed for a ton of classes including mages, and burst brought down (frostbolt/ice lance hit for as much as they did in cata, frost bomb is literally 60%+ of frost bomb damage in a fight).  with burst damage brought down burst healing could be lowered so that people are in a more wounded state like the original plan was 6 years ago.

if you are going to cry out for nerfs, please include everything that is broken and dumb with the game, while including frost bomb.  thanks.

The only time mages are ok when we could aimed chimera - readiness - aimed chimera you back where you belonged in WOTLK Season 8, but who gave a shit about that when every team had a DFO anyways.

Stop acting like hunters are super hard counters to mages.

I dont think that marksman buff is going to be nearly enough..... I'd like to see blizzard redo the level 75 tier, as I hate every single talent there, and also give us a different 87 ability. I really hate pets in general.. Id actually like to see pets be a BM specific thing, then balance us around not having pets for the other two trees..

Except TBC where Mages were OOM in 3sec cause they usually played with Priests who couldn't dispell VIper Sting and s7-s8, Hunters never countered Mages...
I know mages somehow think their Class is insanely hard to play - lets keep it real please cause they're not harder then any other Caster since pretty much Wotlk.

lol at mages not getting countered by hunters, look at cata frost mages, they relied heavily on PvE gear and their ability to kite physical damage dealing classes respectively. That being said, you can't kite physical ranged damage that is the hunter class unless you wanted to sit on top of them which sacrifices your positioning and is only good in duels or when positioning is irrelevant (almost never). Hunters could tranq shields leaving even more of a mages typical mitigation invalid. Roar of sacrifice was exclusively good against big crit classes (such as mages) and deterrence was excellent at stopping incoming mage burst but not as valuable against other casters due to their DoT mechanics. I specifically remember dodging hunter teams in s11 due to how bad I would get shredded and how retarded RoS pet cycling was. I guess after the frost armor change to 15% physical damage reduction mages began to handle hunters a bit better but even then I would still consider hunter a counter to frost mage for the majority of cataclysm.
