The change to team is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. The only way that will work is if all classes are decently balanced and there are no balance patches during the season.

Also, the gear thing makes you have to spend more time every week getting the best gear to compete?!?! Miss a week and your gear will be worse than everyone else?

I really don't like the way they view MMR at all.  I feel like they're basically saying if you ever got a high MMR then we need to protect the casual players from you more than we need to make sure MMR is accurate for each player/team.

The new rating change sounds terrible too.  If it's anything like their past performances of changing the way rating works, we're in for some serious problems.  I could very easily see this leading into hyper-inflation of team ratings.  They've added and changed so much with the rating system you need a PhD in World of Warcraft Arena Rating just to understand it.

Even the fact that he made such a blog means something though, he would have never bothered in the past.  That being said I have no idea what they were doing through the beta.we'll just have to wait and see he actually did adress most of the problems.

Good read, and for the first time I liked all his anwsers. Get the hate goggles off for a second, from what I can tell they're making it so TR naturally inflates along the season, it's not only about gear. The fact that you can upgrade your conquest gear with conquest points also means better queues for a longer period of time.

I remember when people would purchase the TR just to wear the gear.

I hate the upgrade via conquest points thing- the faster everyone can get full equal gear, the better. Anyone who is behind on gear will be behind for ANOTHER couple months now... stupid.

Bigger gaps between ratings, longer queues because of rating inflation, full stop at a certain rating unless you have full gear, need to play early season or you will be to far behind on gear.

Sounds fantastic.

lets inflate ratings to the heavens, add more gear upgrades, holy paladins strong, nothing about disc priests.
Blizzard obviously knows what they're doing, don't worry guys they got this.

Priests – We understand that priests are by far the most under performing healers. Hence forth, we made Inner Focus silence immunity baseline. We also encourage good play, therefore, Shadow Word: Death damage above 20% will be also made baseline. We understand that Pain Suppression glyph is such an old mechanic from previous expansions that it will now be baseline. This will allow priests to choose from a variety of glyphs such as penance while moving, prayer of mending 60% heal increase, and mass dispel quick cast. Also from many PVE statistic websites such as World of Logs that discipline and holy priests could use an overall heal or mana regen increase, maybe we will look into rapture and revamping the spell so rather than 150% of sprit (most priests have 6-9k spirit, giving back 13k mana back at most every 15s when shield break) it will return mana based on % of total mana. But Im ghostcrawler and you all can suck my dick because I aint fixing shit bitches .

The negativity in here is reaching a whole new level. The PvP community whines about the blues not listening or reading the complaints of their players, and that even if they do, they never reply or give us anything.

Ghostcrawler now goes ahead and writes up a blog entry on what their main points of focus are right now, considering PvP balance, and all that most of you can come up with is an almost ad verbatim quote on how Blizzard sucks at balancing PvP, how they've missed this issue or that, or in general, just how bad of a job they're doing.

I don't think the blog entry is in any shape or form ment to be interpreted as some kind of a summary of the be-all, end-all fixes they're going to implement, or that every matter left outside of the entry hasn't even been considered nor noticed by Blizzard. To me, it's a rough synopsis that includes only the issues that the players themselves have been the most vocal about on the WoW forums, and it's not even supposed to include everything they feel is wrong in the game.
