WoW 5.1 PTR PvP Changes

There's quite a few major changes happening in 5.1. I've outlined some of the more major ones from MMO-Champion that'll affect PvP. Changes that will greatly impact PvP are bolded.

Talents
  • Lynx Rush Each attack causes the target to bleed for 1,000 465 damage over 15 sec, stacking up to 9 times.
Beast Mastery
  • Bestial Wrath Send your pet into a rage causing 20% additional damage for 10 sec. The beast does not feel pity or remorse or fear and it cannot be stopped unless killed. Hunter - Beast Mastery Spec. Send your pet into a rage, causing 20% additional damage for 10 sec and breaking all effects which cause loss of control of your pet.$?s119410[ Your pet cannot be killed while this effect is active.] Hunter - Beast Mastery Spec.
Major Glyphs
  • Glyph of Aimed Shot Your Scatter Shot also removes all damage over time effects from the target. Your Aimed Shot can now be used while moving.
  • Glyph of Solace Your Freezing Trap also removes and Scatter Shot also remove all damage over time effects from the target. their targets.

  • Deep Freeze Stuns the target for 5 sec. 4 sec.
  • Frost Bomb After 5 After 6 sec, the bomb explodes, dealing (3,286 + 246.2% of SP) Frost damage to the primary target, and (1,643 + 123.1% of SP) Frost damage to all other targets within 10 yds.
Talents
  • Frost Bomb After 5 After 6 sec, the bomb explodes, dealing (3,286 + 246.2% of SP) Frost damage to the primary target, and (1,643 + 123.1% of SP) Frost damage to all other targets within 10 yds.
  • Ice Barrier Instantly shields you, absorbing (4580 + 440.1% of SPFR) damage. 330% of SPFR) damage.
  • Ring of Frost 30 45 sec cooldown.
Fire Minor Glyphs
  • Glyph of Discreet Magic Your Nether Tempest, Living Bomb, Frost Bomb, Arcane Barrage, Inferno Blast, and Ice Lance and Inferno Blast no longer affect targets more than 5 yds away from their primary target.

  • Blind 3 min cooldown. 60 sec cooldown.
  • Sprint 60 45 sec cooldown.
  • Wound Poison Each strike has a 30% chance of poisoning the enemy, which instantly inflicts 390 520 Nature damage and reduces all healing effects on them for 15 sec.
Talents
  • Burst of Speed 60 50 Energy.
  • Cheat Death An attack that would otherwise be fatal will instead reduce you no lower to no less than 10% of your maximum health, and damage taken will be reduced by 80% for 3 sec.
  • Leeching Poison Your melee attacks have a 50% chance to poison the target, and all your subsequent weapon strikes against the poisoned target will heal you for 10% of damage dealt.Your melee attacks have a 50% chance to poison the target for 10 sec. Your subsequent weapon strikes against the poisoned target will heal you for 10% of damage dealt.
  • Shuriken Toss A ranged attack that deals 1,246 Physical damage to an enemy target. target.This damage is doubled if the enemy is farther than 10 yards away.
Assassination
  • Seal Fate When you critically strike with a single-target melee attack that generates combo points, you gain an additional combo point on your target.

  • Unleash Life Unleashes the Earthliving enchantment upon the Shaman's weapon, healing a friendly target for (3,154 + 28.6% of SP) and increasing the effect of the Shaman's next direct heal by 30%. or Healing Rain by 30%.

  • Kil'jaeden's Cunning Passive: You can cast and channel while moving, but doing so increases the cast time or channel period of the spell by 30%. Affliction Destruction
  • Cataclysm The Warlock channels cataclysmic power, immolating all enemies within 10 yards. every 5 sec. After 4 sec, all burning After 3 sec, all enemies within 10 yards are knocked away and stunned for 5 sec. The channelling of Cataclysm cannot be stopped and the Warlock cannot be slain until it completes. afflicted by effects which cause loss of control of your character.
  • Conflagrate Generates Burning Embers. Critical strikes double this effect.
  • Flames of Xoroth 60 sec cooldown.
Major Glyphs Minor Glyphs Posted Image Warrior (Forums, Talent Calculator)
  • Intervene Run at high speed towards a party or raid member, intercepting the next melee or ranged attack within 10 sec while the target remains within 10 yards.
Major Glyphs
The Gag Order nerf is going to be huge for Warriors. Mages look like they took one of the heavier nerf bats.

Typical over nerf... removing pummel from gag order would of been fine, mayb now safe to assume no changes to shockwave?

Also still waiting on fix of real issue, cd stacking.

Yeah the discipline buffs are great -.-
To the mage:
I think they overnerfed him.. Of course mage was a class, that can one shot in a df, but he has to cast the spells, so it was so easy for a relativ good team to interrupt all of his df dmg, when he was frost, fire is with this nerf no pvp specc anymore..
I like the warrior nerf, they had to much of cc for a tunnel melee, there was no way for a priest to get any heal against a good warrior.
I think this will be a season again where wont be any place for a disci, like the beginning of cata..
I can just hope, that the changes will come soon..

Gief buffs to ele sham defensive abilities =/. Why shadow priests get 2 better passive version's of our first tier talent points is beyond me.

Looks like Blizzard actually did something right for a change, now give priest a minor buff and maybe warrior a slightly longer cd on shockwave and the game is fine =)

6k+60%/11k = 18 + grace / 30k + pvp power Yeah penance buff is good, shame about "flash heal" and "PowerWordDoG"

being able to blind into sap every 60 seconds will be so retarded, apart from that some very nice changes

IDK. I think the nerfs are good. After these nerfs, a few buffs to other classes and things will be working really nice.

After they increase how PvP resilience scales by 200%.
