-Resto Shamans PvP 4p no longer lasts 5seconds instead gives a 5second buff to allow your next spell cast to be immune to interrupts.
-Priest Satin PvP 4p is now baseline when Shadow and now shares the same bonus as Moon Cloth 4p instead.
-Fade cooldown increased to 1 min but duration increased to 4 seconds(1 sec longer).
-Shadow Priests spell "Silence" range increased to 40 yards to be put in line with all other casters interrupts.
-Second Winds now only ticks every 2 secs(up from 1).
-Avatar no longer makes you immune to Root effects.
-You can no longer Intervene Skull Banner or Demoralizing Banner.
-Nature Swiftness cooldown increased to 2mins.
-Typhoon is no longer a talent and is baseline to only Balance druids.
-Discipline priests are no longer affected by the 15% shield absorb reduction.
-Warrior's intimidating shout cooldown increased to 2 mins.
-Destroying Tremor, Spirit link and Grounding totem no longer reduces the cooldown for their next use.
-Rain of Fire can no longer cause a stun effect.

I would add more towards BM hunters but it looks like they are getting taken care of in 5.1.

One thing that needs to not make it through in 5.1 though is;
-The cooldown of Blind has been reduced to 1 minute (was 3 minutes).
All of those changes to warrior would make them unplayable tbh (remove all of their mobility, what are you smoking?), a better idea is to balance warriors would be:

Remove gag order
Make recklessness put avatar on a 30/45 second cd
Nerf second wind to 2% every 1 seconds (down from 3%)
Increase shockwave cd to 30 seconds (up from 20)

wise words but I guess this is not gonna work because every little bug in PvE has a higher priority so I'll assume we can expect these changes in early 2015

Cata was rly fine overall if you don't take triple dps and exploiters in the count.

You're not going to convince Blizzard to balance their game by telling them they need to remove half of their abilities (even though I agree it would be the best solution). Well thought out adjustments to crazy abilities (Psyfiend, Blood Fear, Gag Order, etc.) will come across a lot better then, "Remove this ability!".

Except Demonic Gateway, that shit just needs to not be useable in Arena, period.

I always wondered how blizzard considered recouperate broken at 4-5% every 3 seconds, while second wind being 3% every second with no cooldown below 35% is considered okay.

Yeah, triple dps was such a problem. It must have really sucked for those 2k players that had to face them.

anyways back on topic- @hoodrych, are we even going to be able to convince blizzard to make ANY changes?
i'm being serious, because this is the first time i have went from 1 expansion to the other. do we have any say or influence?
is stuff always this broken in the beginning of expansions

90% of the good ideas in this thread have been said already.  If you look at Hewty's post (most constructive so far) he's basically saying

-Nerf rshammys and rdruids
-Make warriors unplayable
-buff priests

and Hi I'm a priest.

Only good ideas he has have been said time and time again, gag order, blood fear, hybrid healing etc.

Bit of a stretch to call removing psyfiend, nerfing fade, and buffing absorbs by 15% an overall priest buff.

If these were all done the game would probably actually be balanced.

while I agree that dot damage needs to be increased, there are several problems with a direct buff.

1. dot damage is more than OK in pve at the moment (afflic locks and fire mages are kings)

2.  fine balance with current dispell mechanic.  Too much of a buff and dot cleave will run a muck like LSD in s7/s8.  


Current dot damage is a joke, as a fully geared boomer, you can pop a 3 min CD (Celestial Alignment) and get full dots up on a warrior and your damage will break even with second wind.

that is hardly a nerf to fade, fade needs to last 1-1.5 seconds not 3.
