Safeguarding War Banners

I'm trying to macro safeguard onto my warr banner macro's so I can spamm it so it automaticly safeguards them.
Currently this is the layout I'm using, but sadly it doesnt work.
#showtooltip Mocking Banner
/cast [target=Mocking Banner] Safeguard
/cast Mocking banner
Anyone with more experience in macro making can get this to work?
What I don't want is that I actually target my warrbanner with a /target macro want to be able to safeguard it without targeting it.
Thanks in advance!

/castsequence reset=30 Demoralizing Banner, Intervene
/target Demoralizing Banner
#showtooltip Mocking Banner
/castsequence reset=30 Mocking Banner, Intervene
/target Mocking Banner
I haven't been able to get it to work with a [target=Demoralizing Banner] or [target=Mocking Banner] either
I guess some variation of /targetlasttarget could work

/target Demoralizing Banner
/target Mocking Banner
/target Skull Banner
/cast Safeguard
/targetlasttarget
is what I use, and I have no problem with it at all.
bound to shift 4 while Demoralizing Banner is shift 5, mocking Banner control A, skull banner shift x.

/targetlasttarget
/target [noharm] demoralizing banner
/castsequence reset=100 !demoralizing banner, intervene
/cleartarget
/targetlasttarget
/target [noharm] mocking banner
/castsequence reset=100 !mocking banner, intervene
You're welcome.
You will lose your target for a short, short period of time but it isn't a problem if you just spam the key, it will re-target your last target.

Doesn't work like that for this macro I'm afraid mr man
Even just tested and confirmed it doesn't work.
It works for your macro, because you have separate keys for your banners, this is an all-in-1.
You can't not lose your target, you have to, but you can re-obtain it easily with the same macro. You won't even notice it drops your target if you spam it 2 or 3 times

/cleartarget [help]
/target mocking banner
/use Intervene
/use mocking banner
/targetlasttarget [help]
will not drop target, only need to press once, not mash. works perfect, change banner name to whatever banner you want to use, also change intervene to safeguard
