I ran a few Shadowplay games today and it was mostly either a super quick 1 minute zerg or a really long stalemate. Very few nice balanced games that felt right. A bunch of triple dps too lol.

What's your first impressions?

Hunters warriors spriests and mages and destro locks seem really overpowered to me at this point.

its too early to judge but warrior bm hunter destru lock and mages do retarded damage atm . affliction is a joke so im forced to play destru meh

Everything OP except Rogue. I hope you suffer like other people did the last seasons.

Running rdruid/bm/frost mage.  Didn't run into any 3 dps teams.  All things considered had some decent games.  A few games where my hunter just obliterated someone in the opener.   I'd guess about 60%+ of the teams we faced had a warrior.  Hardest team we vsed was a frost mage/lock/rdruid.

It was fun but the MMR reset fuck up is going to ruin things here soon.

I agree with previous comments.  The games either seem go very fast (warrior/bm hunter blowing up my spriest through ironbark in 5 seconds with 3 blooms rejuv swiftmend blah blah) or go very long (5-15 minutes).  I am actually surprised at the amount of control healers can exert at the moment.  We have enough power to really heal through anyones damage (excluding warrior/hunter, from what I've seen so far)  

I think if warriors were to receive a damage nerf, coupled with BM (and hopefully hunters could receive buffs to mm/surv) then the game would look a bit better.  Seems aflic locks are a bit weak, and destro is very strong.  Maybe nerf destro a bit and buff afflic a bit.  Rogues obviously need work, but they're viable as assasination if they can stick on their targets (which so far it seems they can).  

I'm anxious to see if blizzard resets MMR / Teams.  Otherwise this season is about to go stale in 1-2 weeks.  


Overall I think the pace of the game is better than it has been in previous seasons during the first weeks of an expansion.  I'm looking forward to seeing if blizzard actually follows through and nerfs warriors / bm hunters / destro locks and gives a little bit more viability to rogues/disc priests/aflic locks.

1st match - ret/ret/ret, chain stunned by their light thing, died in less than 10 seconds when all 3 bubbled and connected on me
2nd match - shadow rmp, nearly died in opener, lived a minute longer then they switched to my warrior and 100 to 0'd him
3rd match - warrior/warrior/hpal, they started on my warrior then both switched to me and i instantly died

hurray new expansion, i feel like theres too many stuns, silences, self heals, and burst damage.

everything is way too cluttered if that makes any sense but its just the start of the expansion/season so ill continue to hope for the best

The amount of cc is absurd right now, healers have way to much cc. It used to be Shaman/priests/pallies had like one cc on a 30-60 second cd, now they all spam cc with druids having more then anyone. And most dps have spammable instant cc.

I think the problem this early is that it's hard to tell if the damage that is being done is because:

a) People are getting used to arena again with new abilities/trying stuff out and thus not performing perfectly
B) People are not fully geared (both offensively and defensively)
c) People not knowing just how much damage to expect from players/class with certain specs/glyphs, and thus not preparing for it

I think once we get a feel for it we can start to really judge things (although naturally a lot of stuff will probably need tuning - I really hope SV becomes viable!)
