As of now it seems like what we should going for is Pvp Power > Resilience > Intel > Haste > Mastery > Crit

Anyone feel different about this? if so explain.

This is what I'm thinking also, although I don't have any definite math on it. If anyone does please post! :o

However, I did read crit > mastery in terms of DPS.

Blue: Stormy - 320 pvp power
Yellow: Vivid - 160 resil 160 pvp power
Red: Mysterious - 80 int 160 pvp power

Is what I'll go with at least.

In terms of pure dps yes but mastery allows you to get double mana back from VT ticks & more procs from DI & FDCL and really those proc's are what's going to be game changing.

Also regarding metas

http://www.wowhead.com/item=76888 432spirit & 3% crit dmg

http://www.wowhead.com/item=76885 216int & 3% crit dmg

We have always used the later meta but now non base stat's are doubled making it a possible option now, what's everyone's opinion on that.

Yeah you're definitely right about mastery, didn't even think of that.

I keep hearing conflicting accounts on whether PvP power is better than int though. Currently I'm gemming 320 pvp power in blue, 160/160 pvp/resil in yellow and 80 int/160 pvp in red until definitive math comes out.

Also, I"m using the int/crit meta personally

Another question that's kinda relevant to this post.. What are you thinking for main set? $ piece satin + mooncloth gloves for the extra haste?

I've been gemming pure int on my reds until the math comes out, the rest is the same as everyone else. Reflect meta though because it was really cheap on my server, I suppose I'll end up using either int/crit or keep the spell reflect meta.

I think about

Prismatic:  320 PvP Power
blue:          320 PvP power
red:    160PvP power/ 80 int
Yellow:   160 PvP power/  160 haste

@Shogen Forget about haste, gemming it without reaching a major haste break point is useless.

@Kel As of now non primary gems(pvp power for example) are double budgeted meaning that if intellect did slightly pull ahead as 1=1 then it's no question that gemming pvp power will be better.

Since gems/stat allocation is now sorted what does everyone think about professions? right now Blacksmith is by far without a doubt the best where JC should be second but there's currently no Pvp power serpent's eye gem making it quite a bit worse than say enchanting/leatherworking where you get passive int gains that don't make you sacrifice Pvp power.

What do you tie ur pvp use trinket to? Or do you have it on a  bind all by itself?

Using Engineering on all my Priests for the Rocket gloves / On use spellpower, the new rocket gloves seems pretty decent considering its instant damage + applies a dot on your target and works through deterrence on hunters aswell.

Last time Ive done math I came accross that tailoring cloak enchant is worth about 370 int. So I'll stay with blacksmith/ tailoring mb switching to rocket

Just checked engineering and saw what the new rocket gloves do and it's actually amazing "As of today, it will deal 42000 Dmg over 3 seconds at up to awesome 45 yards distance and has 45 seconds cooldown" granted this is going to reduced by 60% due to resilience but then further buffed by 40% through pvp power.

Most likely going to be going to go BS/Eng later in the season but atm waiting to see if they fix JC.

Yep, tailoring/eng here struggling to decide which to drop for BS, supposedly eng is good now but as gear scales the pyrorockets won't :/ plus not the biggest fan of shared cd with trinket, but I think I'll end up dropping tailoring.

And tailoring isnt 370 int, its 320 as every other profession (source: http://howtopriest.c...75514a7377c6a38), but it still has larger burst potential because it's a big ass 2k int proc. Sucks that you lose the pvp power enchant for it though.

[edit]

So, there isn't an updated pvp power enchant, which means tailoring is fine, if not better than eng. Hmmm... >_>
