Are you one of the early birds that are dinged level 90? With honor gear not yet available and arenas being closed it may be a little hard to find things to do as a PvP player. Today I'll make a short list of things you could do and work on before the arena season begins.
World Bosses - Sha of Anger and Galleon
Getting some early gear will put you at an advantage early on the season. This can be particularly important, as competition tends to be the hottest in the beginning and end of every season. Sha of Anger is Mists of Pandaria new Baradin Hold boss, having a chance to give you PvP loot once a week. Sha of Anger is a world boss located in the Kun-lai Summit.
MMO-Champion has a really awesome page on Sha of Anger, with the abilities and loot tables and everything like that. Make sure you check it out:
There's also the boss Galleon, a world boss who drops high item level PvE gear. Getting a full set of PvP gear may take some time, and high ilvl PvE gear will be a good advantage early on.
Training your professions to 550 will be necessary for you to take advantage of the perks it gives. Training your professions early is usually the best because even though materials to level it may be expensive you can earn money from it easily. For example, I leveled Blacksmith to 600 and learned to make the Contender's Revenant PvP pieces. I've made over 50,000 gold from just making around 50 pieces of gear and then separately putting them on the auction house. Easy gold in a very short amount of time!
Getting Early PvP Gear
You can get a full set ilvl 450 PvP armor from crafting: Most pieces cost around 1000 gold at the moment, but it is much cheaper if you make them yourselves or ask a friend to do so. The materials for plate armor usually costs around 100 gold. Meaning a whole set of 8 armor pieces would cost around 800 gold only!
Capping Conquest Points
Once you hit level 90 you're able to cap your weekly Conquest Points. The cap from random battlegrounds is 1350 points, and it seems you can no longer trade in Valor Points for Conquest Points. Get those Conquest Points for early Malevolent gear
Black Market Auction House
Got a lot of gold to spare? Maybe you should check out the Black Market Auction House, which has a chance to auction out gear that you could use.
