DEPRECATED

Here is a tutorial on how to set up a basic, functional PvP UI.

Also, a link to Redmist's tutorial on setting up a clean UI, quality stuff.

Welcome, this is the second edition of my PvP UI Tutorial.  Feel free to skip over sections you already are well versed in (such as Addon Introduction if you already know how to install addons).

Full length, high quality streams are at http://www.pvptutorial.com

Full length WCM version: http://www.warcraftm...w.php?id=100111

If my site goes down for some reason (like me being a sucky webpage owner), all videos are available at lower resolution at http://www.youtube.com/moyxx030, my Youtube page.

Saw it a few days ago and I have to say it's pretty informative for people who are completely new on making an (PvP) UI. Good job!

You might also want to mention Align. It creates a grid on your screen to help to align all of your add-ons. It's one of the simplest add-ons out there, but surely one of the greatest.

Ha I should check that out so my UI doesn't make people want to gouge their eyes out.

Thanks for the comments guys :D

Great tutorials.
Opened my eyes to MSBT...

Going to make a thread dedicated to MSBT Triggers that people have setup and found helpful for Arenas

Did not watch the videos yet, but read the comments. If he is explaining MSBT then that's what you're looking for (Keyword: triggers).

There comes a point where skill, not gear, matters.  Congratulations, you've reached that point.

Yea exactly what Lain said, MSBT (last two videos, specifically the very last video) will do this with properly configured triggers.

However, for some of those abilities, I use Afflicted or Witch Hunt.  These two addons need some configuration, but can do buff/debuff gains and losses.  I can't remember off the top of my head what I have coming from MSBT, which from Afflicted, and which from Witch Hunt.  Some of the more important abilities have overlap.  Some of the REALLY important abilities have voice-triggers.

Yea damned rogues.  On that note, keep in mind that as a mage you can have 20 seconds of invisiblity.  If you time it so you're invisible right out of the door and your partner(s) engage your opponents into combat before you come out (AND there are no warlocks on the opposing team, fuckers), then you can have the same advantage that rogues do.  Well, not the same 'cus you have no target-wipe (vanish), but it's still pretty useful.

Thanks for the great videos!

Your videos was done very professionally.  You talked in a clear and concise manner and conveyed all the details in an understanable way.  Don't be hard on yourself.  You did very well.

Bravo!
