Hello everyone,

I want to buy a new headset, but i have no clue which one is good.

I want one thats good, but not to pricy.

Could you share your ideas of some good headsets where i could choose from ?

I saw the "Razer carcharias gaming headset" which looked cool.

I've been through so many headsets it's ridiculous.
It seems they are given a life of about a year before something on them decides to break...Now maybe I'm a little rough with them, or they get alot of use, either way, been through alot.

2x fatal1ty mk2
2x razer carcharias
right now im on my turtle beaches that I bought for xbox, because my last razer carcharias randomly died mid arena.

I've seen praise about Sennheiser, I will look into that line for my next headset most likely.

Shop around on Newegg.com, even if you can't order from there, it will give you an idea on what you want.

edit:
I should say that while they were working, the carcharias were very nice

I'm currently using the razer carcharias and they are comfortable and atleast they havent broken yet. Before I always used the headset from steelseries, "siberia" which is by far the best headset I've used, so would recommend that to anyone who has headsets breaking down easy, my first lasted a couple of years.

Sennheiser PC 360 is the best headset there is, you won't regret it :)

I'm currently using the Sennheiser pc 360 with my previous headset Steelseries siberia sitting on my shelves somewhere.

The PC360 is superior but the siberia is also super good and has a much better price-to-quality ratio.

Also if you really want to invest money into this you should get the Astro A40, it is the best headset in the world

EDIT: Just read you wanted a not to pricy one, get the Siberia for sure won't regret it

I have the Steelseries. Siberia-Diablo3 headphones..and i gotta say they are P.O.S.. been through 3pairs of them each lasted about 2-4months. i use them alot but am very gentle with how i treat them. first pair lights died, 2nd left head phone stopped working, and 3rd one is on its last string and the headphone is about to basically call off. they sound amazing but they tend to break really fast, not sure if its the series on the siberian that im using or in general.

Like previous speakers this is the only real answer for a good headset, it's insane.

Some of the Sennheisers have really great sound quality compared to a lot of gaming headsets. Good sound quality as in, high quality Hi-Fi headphones, not good quality as in 'rly gr8 bass xxxDD'.

Never tried the Steelseries, but I always hear good things about them and considered buying it myself. In the end I bought some decent Hi-Fi Headphones, and a standalone mic. This is because audio quality is absolute priority for me.

As far as a headset for gaming goes, I'd get the Steelseries if you don't need the highest possible audio quality but want a very good gaming headset, and it'll save you some pennies!

Depends on budget involved of course but I am extremely happy with Creative Fatal1ty, sick ass bass, they endured long enough, detachable mic, and they're extremely cheap.

Popped a molly, I'm sweating.
