Tich will be the biggest hub this season, but a large amount of people won't go there, or want to have an alt somewhere else, too. ^ Poll looks like the people want the second hub to be Central Horde. Now, to decide which servers to put on this new poll, I used http://wow.realmpop.com/us.html and http://www.wowwiki.c...t_by_datacenter to find servers that were:
- High pop (but not overpop, to avoid log in Qs)
- PvP (not RP, no one wants to get banned for RP rules)
- Close horde/ally ratios for the option of competitive world PvP (Blizz said that they are putting a big emphasis on world PvP for MoP, so having this close ratio is needed to enjoy that)
The top 4 servers that meet that criteria are Stormreaver, Bleeding Hollow, Mannoroth, and Magtheridon. The most well known central server is Illidan, but Illidan is by far the most overpopulated server (270,000 people on it, 30,000 more than the 2nd most populated server - Darkspear, and still 40,000 more than Tich), and many of us have experienced intolerable log in Qs there. The A/H ratio is also 240,000 to 17,500, making it one of the worst ratios in the game. Also, a high population of the server is asians who we can't even communicate or do arena with since they speak another language.
I also wouldn't vote for Emerald Dream because that server has special rules https://us.battle.ne...eplaying-policy
Is everyone cool with the 4 choices being Stormreaver, Bleeding Hollow, Mannoroth, and Magtheridon? Does anyone think the criteria I used were bad? Should any of these servers be taken off, and why? If you think a central server should be added, what one and why?
I personally would pick Stormreaver out of those since it has the highest pop out of all of those at 171,000, with 2nd being Bleeding Hollow at 163,000.
After all that, then we will have to decide on a guild situation, too.
