Definitely Mage with the new dispel system. UA/VT dispel protection means very little now, Frost and Fire are doing pretty crazy damage at 90 too. Mages retained most of their melee peels and gained more CC(across all specs), the shear amount of ways they can lockout a healer(or anyone) at 90 is insane, and with 8 sec dispels nothing can keep them in check defensively.

Just from what I've seen anyway..

But I wouldn't put Lock/Spriest/Boomy far behind them, they all are very strong.

Was going to put in my 2 cents, but I think that's extremely unnecessary now.

Are melee classes shit?  Seems about right, nerf dispells and classes that were vulnerable to it profit.

Not really, ret paladins, DKs and Ferals are really strong still. Warriors seem weak but just so many out there are bad I really can't tell, I think they will be very different (better) at 90. Haven't actually seen any Enhance shams..

These melee are surprisingly still pretty good considering how powerful Mages are now

I can't see melee being anywhere near casters in MoP. With dispells have a CD melee is just gonna sit in CC and slows all day long.

Rets maybe decent because they can dispell themselvs and have freedom.

Warriors lost bladestorm and the pvp set bonus was taken away from leap so they are back to sitting in novas and roots all day.

DK's having to take chillbains to have a slow and not being able to take deaths advance hurts alot.

All in all i don't see how melee will even come close to casters without dispel spam.

On paper I agree (haven't touched Beta and no idea about new melee mechanics)

Without some serious revamp to mechanics to help warriors and ferals stay on targets, I don't see melee cleaves working out.  Healers using dispells offensively to keep melee free seems like a similar situation to over extending, i.e. cc a dps and swap heals w/o dispells.

why is anybody under the impression that warriors are bad? with second wind, gag order and two charges there's no doubt at all that they'll be able to compete with casters. just because you can't beat frost mages in duels doesn't mean you're underpowered --- or everybody except frost mages would be overpowered.

The double charge is terrible. Anyone who plays a warrior knows that charge is almost always on CD if its not well then you're doing something wrong.

Its not 2 charges every 20 seconds. You have a number 2 on the charge button that indicates you have 2 available charges.

Lets say game stats you go in and charge the healer, now you are down to 1 charge and the timer counts down from 20. Now you see the mage sheeping your healer you charge him. Now you are at 0 charges and its still counting down from 20 from the initial charge on the healer. Now throughout the rest of the game you have a 20 second CD on charge and unless you don't use charge for 40 seconds you will not get both charges back up.

As a warrior you are always using charge to INT cast, to catch up to your target, to peel, etc.... its very rare that you will go by 40 seconds without charging to get your 2 stacks of it back again so in the long run it gives you a double charge on your opener then a crappy 20 second CD on it the rest of the game.

My explanation might be terrible but if you try the talent you will see its trash in areans but I guess it could be good for RBGs. In areans I will take a solid 12sec CD on charge all day long.

I didn't play much but dispells having a 8s CD won't melee be awful?
I remember melee always needing a lot of dispells to stick on mages especially so how will it work with 8s CD? If you dispel a nova of a warrior he just gets sheeped full and nothing can do anything about it? Unless he reflects obviously but still? Am I right?

Yes you are correct, but dispells removes ALL magic effects now but 8 seconds is just to much.Melee cleaves will be dead without a spammable cleanse. Also all melee int's like pummel and kick and rebuke are on a 15 seconds CD now so even more power to casters.
