Every MMO Headstart failed so far. WoW would fail as well, if blizz wouldn't allow player to play the whole game in beta for free. When they releases the game, most player just chill.

Atleast they're aware of most if not all of the problems, and they're doing their best to make sure everything works.

Atleast I could play WoW after like 30+/- minutes (Cataclysm) also I could play D3 adter 1-2 hours and I pre order GW2 still can't even try it after 8 hours.

And ppl complain about blizzard's launches : )))

And worst thing is I can't find anywhere what happened and when I will be able to play.

I could log in when I wrote the post :P

WAR was worse, AoC was worse, Darkfall was worse... those are just the ones I can remember right now.

This is hardly that bad.

haha lold so hard... D3 did not work in 30 minutes... maby if you were lucky and i could say the same thing from GW2... i got in 3 hours before the timer and had 0 problems.

Have you been reading diablo forums lately? AH has been down on and off for the past 2 weeks now and ppl who have missed 1 payment from annual have got their d3 account converted to started edition...

Umm... obviously you weren't there for the Vanilla WoW launch, OP.

My main problem with this launch is that they obviously need more servers. Most of them are full already and my buddy wasn't able to get on Yak's Bend with us.

I keep getting thrown into Overflow all the time, I was in Desolation ONCE. But we have to remember that the servers will stabilize, once all the 12 year olds have realised that GW2 wasn't made by Blizzard and isn't WoW2

I'm sorry, WHAT?

This was the god damn best launch ever!

I got into the server, no probs. Lag as expected (I'm from Latin America). Small issues that didn't bother me, such as the trading post going down and up, a couple quests that were bugged, nothing else.

Why do you complain about overflow? Game's first day, servers overloaded like hell and they just "oh well, let us give you another server so you can play without issues, as soon as it's possible, you'll be back on your server, same position, all your changes saved".

ANet could teach Blizzard a few lessons.

This is probably the most hilarious excuse I've heard so far to bash another game - anything to make you feel better about Guild Wars 2 though.

The launch wasn't nearly as bad as made out to be though and ArenaNet actually updated the community, which is a change from many other companies(hello bioware)
that's all we'll have when the world is through

So any reason to think this game is gonna break the pattern and maintain a playerbase? I'm kinda sick of life, I'd be happy to bin a few more years

It's amazing how people forget so fast.. For example; Archimonde @ US was down for almost a week after launch, due to insane overpopulation that fried the server.. (like 50 000 in queue)

There's always problems, which is why we got this new trend of "head start" where they try to limit the people who starts playing the first day.

Is this thread serious? For one, you could argue that the game hasn't even launched yet. Two, I've been unable to log in for what, 2 hours of a day? Boo fucking hoo. And three, other new MMO launches have been 1000x time worse.

0/10 troll

okay, 1/10 since you got so many people to post.

Half hour of lag when the servers openend, and then two hours of downtime seven hours later. Everything else ran smooth as butter. This is easily one of the best MMO launches in history, no clue what you are talking about.

Sure is a good launch, except for the BSODs which some people are getting. But I still think RIFT had the best launch of all time

of all time

of all time
