Is it going to be only warrior again?

I'm looking at some guardian druid stuff that seems alright but I'm wondering how other people feel.

Try monk with their million jumps and teleports, or whatever they got.
Haven't played one or looked through their spells, but they look very jumpy and moving.

Warriors shield soak thing or w.e it is seems retarded. With 100 rage mine does abotu 80k Damage absorb which can he spammed with no cd.
So if you are getting trained you will just spam it for a constant sort of disc shield.

Warlock (with soul link, figure the best spec yourself).

Hide your pet to 1 level with 1 healer, stay yourself at other level and have portal on third level.

Spam heal pet to heal you. (every overhealing done to pet will heal you)

Profit.

I honestly think druids are going to be insanely strong, they were good in cata if played well and can allways get a fast pickup with stealth. now they just have obsurd mobility and escape mechanisms.

Have you seen Blood DeathKnight's capability?
In additional to not only having a "second chance" (due to Purgatory) they also have extreme mobility coming from Unholy presence + Death's Advance + On a Pale Horse.
I've always been against playing blood, but I might play as a Flag Carrier this season....

Druids and Monks would be good as far as getting the flag from one end to the other fast, not sure how well they would do getting trained however which is where it counts. Blood DK or Warrior will likely be the choice again.

brewmasters are really good, you can set up your port just like locks and you survive as well as any warrior FC.

It's pretty funny how clueless this thread is when the answer is so obvious and clear. For the last four seasons people have still not figured it out yet.

Consider yourself lucky! (In my opinion at least.)

There's nothing appealing about having to sit at a node (AB, Gilneas, EoTS) for 20 minutes while the rest of your team gets to "play the game."

Same thing applies to WSG/Twin Peaks – stand in the back, watch your team own (or get owned) – where you don't get to contribute too much.

Most RBG setups that I participated in in S9-11 consisted of me flag carrying, which I ended up doing out of necessity (let's face it: if you don't RBG, your conquest point cap will be substantially low in comparison to those that do RBG at 2200+. No "good" RBG groups would allow for Arms, anyway).

I'm hoping Arms, and of course Ret/Frost/Feral DPS, are viable in RBGs in S12. I'm sure they will be, so I'm looking forward to that!

TLDR: As long as I get to play Arms in RBGs occasionally, I'm happy. Flag carrying gets boring after a while.

The problem with monks is that they may be solid flag carriers but they aren't good at solo-defending nodes in my opinion.

I've been just q'ing with warrior so far, this thread was made a long time pre mop. Answer definitely wasn't obvious and clear then.

why not? from what ive seen, monks can roll at the speed of light so i dont see why they wouldnt be able to defend a flag easily from 100 yards away, not to mention they can do that spinny shit to aoe the flag, and summon a tiger pet so they dont get capped on. sounds like theyd be fine

How does warrior damage scale with frost dk, warlock, boomkin, mage, shadow priest? Also, what gives a warrior more utility? I'm already considering warriors above rogues in my set ups given their MS and Stuns, however, convince me why they are better than the aforementioned classes!

In regards to how a Warrior scales in damage in comparison to a Frost DK, Warlock, Boomkin, Mage, or Shadowpriest: from my experience so far, Arms can actually compete quite well with these classes. As far as melee DPS is concerned, I'd say that a Frost DK will do more overall damage (largely due to Howling Blast). We bring stuns though, of course, to compensate.

In previous seasons, Arms Warriors literally brought nothing compared to other classes.

What we bring now:
  • AoE stun (Shockwave)
  • AoE slow (Piercing Howl)
  • AoE fear (Intimidating Shout - 1 minute CD)
  • 25% MS debuff
  • 3 second silence via Pummel or Heroic Throw (Gag Order)
  • 20% damage reduction on a target for 6 sec - such as the flag carrier (Safeguard/Intervene)
  • AoE Last Stand (Rallying Cry)
  • Fairly good personal defensive cooldowns/abilities - Defensive Stance (25% damage reduction), Die by the Sword (100% Parry for 8 sec/20% damage reduction), Spell Reflection, Shield Wall, Demoralizing Banner
  • Good to Crazy damage (insane burst with Avatar/Skull Banner/Reck/Strength Trinket/Deadly Calm if I might add...)

Roll is actually pretty slow. You can get stunned, feared etc in the middle of the way. It's more like a sprint + silence on you than a blink. The really long flight forward is for Windwalkers (tanks are Brewmasters) only. I think Berserker Rage and Spell Reflect are really good tools for solo-holding a node and monks don't have something similar.
