I may be losing a bit of damage from the pet and that might be why my damage isnt as high but i was watching braindeadly and tosan and they dont seem to use their pet to attack, rather keep it by there side like I do, the only time i really use pet attack is in duels when a rouge bombs to try and get a restealth Ill try using a pet with the macros youve said and see what hapens :)

works for me on my hunter atleast, can't remember excactly how the macros are but somewhere along those lines, make sure they work before entering arena  ^^ I am able to get my monkey stuns and so on easily and even in mixed ruthless and raifinder gear i hit 1750 so hopefully this will help you out. I think the pet is situational as well and the reason braindeadly has it by his side often is because he dismisses and resummons alot. I've seen him kite and kill with only his pet so it can be very handy ^^

Updated my "wall of text" of sorts. XD

I hope it's of more use to you now than before!

Also, I agree with Jacque and Milleh. Covered that a bit in the edit.

I think weve solved the problem guys! Im doing a fair amount more damage now and since weve got a new healer its allowed us to survive for alot longer than just trying to burst them down immediately, we can just pressure them untill they crack :)
Thanks to all that helped me :D

Really doesnt matter if you have your pet on passive or use it to attack.

well if you send it to attack it in many cases you can then toss that monkey blind on the healer in los xD!

True. There are pros and cons, usually i prefere to have it on passive so i can just position myself to make sure it always hits without delay. Depends on map really.

As much as hunters are awesome with all their CC's and mobility they are not the class that pumps alot of pressure like a DK or warrior. they are specialised with CC chains, kiting and doing random chimera/aimed shot burst.

a frost dk will always out damage u, i play phdk at 2.3-2.4 mmr and my unholy dk does slightly more damage cause he's on the targets most of the time, but who's having the upper hands in those phdk fights ? cause when i play phdk the team who won will always do around double of the damage, not sure why.

I would definitely use the HC 2 piece... especially since you are playing PHD... The combination of death grip, disengage and endless freedoms should keep the melee off you easily.  You will have to be good at going defensive though.  The main thing is to remember to burst with rapid fire while you have a full focus bar and the Healer is in a CC chain.

wont help against spell cleaves
