Silva hands down. People talking about sonnen's wrestling game is just lol BJJ dominates ground fights anyways and silva is a great fighter  there's a reason he hasn't lost in a while :P And to say sonnens wrestling will make silva wary about throwing wildly as where he didn't have to against vitor??? Vitor has knocked out soo many people it's a joke who would you be more worried about being caught by?

Well silva's striking is light years away from vitors so im pretty sure he would be more confident on opening up his top game and not having to worry about take downs

Why is someone that good at ground work gona be worried about take downs? And it's UFC they're not the best boxers on the planet punches exchange in ufc the power of vitors punches are something to be concerned about. That kick that finished the fight though LOL why i love ufc :D

I understand this.... but clearly for 4 rounds silva was unable to do anything from his back besides threaten with the triangle a couple times, he wasn't able to sweep or even get up... that's the only reason i said it.

I was genuinely surprised people actually watch this garbage.

Shut up pussy.

Gotta go with Silva. I actually bet on sonnen their first fight and when he lost I was pissed(really good odds)......until I found out about the roids. Never going to be cheering for that dude again.

This gay WWF shit the UFC is doing is really, really fucking lame.

I miss the glory days of Pride Championship Fighting.
I'm always right.

That's fair enough but it's easy to be taken off guard especially if you under estimate someone but silva still never lost even to the dude on steroids! Gotta take that into consideration it's their fighting styles i personally believe muay thai is the best stand up in ufc and bjj is the best ground work which is probably why that sennen lost when he engaged on the ground and couldn't do any real damage even with silva on his back.

You realise just about every athlete at that level of competition uses some sort of PED right? Also he was having testosterone replacement therapy, its not like he had something ridiculous like 14 times the testosterone of a normal person like overeem did.
I'm the man.

Vitor also doesn't have the wrestling that chael does, if anderson throws wild he can be taken down. He never really had to worry about that with vitor.  Just calling it how i see it ya know, no one will know til the fight happens but i do hope that silva shuts chaels annoying ass up though its becoming WWE almost

I agree with you that Sonnen matches stylistically alot better against Anderson than Vitor did. Was merely talking about the motivation and fighting emotional.

You guys ever watch Vale Tudo fighting? It's pretty much no rules except (I think) hitting in the balls, fish hooking, and eye gouging. It's popular in Brazil I think, but I know I saw Chuck Liddell in a Vale Tudo match a while back.

I don't think you're aloudto hit in the balls, fish hook and eye gouge..... you are however aloud to stomp and face kick while the opponent is on the ground (same with pride) and also aloud to hit in the spine, back of the head ect.
I don't particularly like that. A little too barbaric for me. The athletes health should be somewhat protected.
But yea, the brazilians love that shit.

edit: I guess I was wrong. You're not aloud to kick a downed oppenentin the head, the rules are actully more strict than prides (must have mixed up some pride fights in my memory and thought they were vale tudo).

http://www.kamppailu...letudorules.pdf

Actually in UFC 2 you were aloud to kick in the groin lol
I'm always right.

That was a meh fight, Wanderlie fought like an idiot. Their first fight was soooo much better (Wanderlie would've won but the rules were KO or draw). Rofl @2:35 , the punch I was talking about, Bob Sapp gets his face caved in and crys like a little girl lol.

The Pride glory days....fuck I miss it.
I'm always right.
