Just wondering how do you stop a team from wintrading, and what blizzard does about wintraders. Also would like to know how do you get a team banned for wintrading because acrobaditcs has been fluent in the wintrading. Any info is greatly appreciated, thnx!

Why do you people even care about it. Let them have their titles. Game isn't about red icons on AJ, they won't magically become better players by wintrading.

I'm going to shamelessly go off-topic here since these type of shit threads have been repeatedly discussed and this particular thread is going to get a lot of views due to its title;

how do I make raid frames appear as party frames (i.e. disabling raid frames and showing party frames in a raid)? There was a script I found but it doesn't seem to workout without causing a bunch of lua errors.

It's more of a credentials type thing for you to display to newbie players. The more rank one titles you have, actually matters a lot to lower pvpers (aka 99%) they see oh, wow this guy has 6 rank 1's he must be a god. This in return can lead to other things, (more stream viewers, sponsorship opportunity, etc) although I do agree, a lot of people with rank one are mediocre, but that's why the tournaments are in place.

I would also like to use this opportunity to go off topic, and pitch a question:

Yesterday, we played a match in which the "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, ALLIANCE," went off, we took two steps out of the gate, and the hunter (Vitaliz - Turalyon) was right in front of us, traps laid, camo up.  Literally right in front of us.  The rogue opened about two seconds later.  Somehow, they got out of the gate before the match started.

They still lost, but I have never seen anything like that before.  Has anyone else run into a similar instance?  What could cause that?

Fairly well known bug. The player isn't necessarily cheating on purpose. I used to play with a rogue who's computer was so bad that the arena gates frequently wouldn't even load and he could just walk through them.

I still play with that Rogue.

I also still play with a Warrior who does the same thing.

and to stay at least semi-on-topic...the OP is on the same 47-0 5's team as MegaDuelist Mightyz, Sifr, Aetarius, and all them. Wintrade central and there's absolutely no denying it.

I had no idea about it.  Well, let me edit my post, my mistake!  Still a bit crummy to take advantage of it :/

It can happen on some maps if you have a slow PC, the gates dont show up when you load into the arena and you can simply just walk through the gate.

It has been far too long since the game has been released. Looking at titles and icons means nothing anymore. You need to ask about experience and check their statistics. They might have several other accounts, sold some and so on.  Having 6 rank1 titles will mean nothing, and get you nothing if it turns out you play like a 1500 rated player and nobody knows you. If you play WoW for sponsors you are apperently doing it wrong.

You mention tournaments, but even the tournaments have average players in them. Don't take this the wrong way, I am sure someone will quote and do the "you would know" as you mentioned yourself, but WoW is all about knowing people and get known. Swifty and Athene are major players, and successfull ones. They are both dreadful (compared to your average Gladiator) and have no icons to show off, it has never been about that. It only matters who and what you are known for. Vanguards and Braindeadly are persistant enough, Braindeadly is a really good Hunter (tho complete rubbish at marketing if you ask me - saying "ur nan is dog bruv" each sentence is not bringing in viewers), and Vanguards made a name out of himself in Cataclysm. He was a nobody in WotlK when I peaked for example. People do boosts to rank1 and get duelist on their mains because they do not care.

Try to go to a stream and tell the 500 viewers that they are watching an average player, good luck surviving. Some of them might try to penetrate you for the cause (spelling?).

TL;DR WoW has always been about PR and marketing, never been about skill. If you are a good player, the GOOD players will know you, and that is what matters. I knew a lot of the currently high ranked players, and they were good back then. Difference is, they are making movies now and streaming. I never made it big myself, but most people knew me in WotLK due to AJ, thats one way to get known. Dreamhack helped too, but mostly people that barely scratched 1500 watched it and remembers me from it.

So fuck if you lose a title ingame, nobody gives a shit, you will still be (edit: good or shit). People buy rank1 titles even. Stayfresh hello?
