I would imagine most rogues have done this at some point, and most healers have experienced this at some point. Anyway, video of 3s from the TR that moran asked me to post:

well i heard carryme say "getting a re-stealth" it looks like when you dispeled the rogue, the rogue was out of combat and in the same global that you lifebloomed the priest i got the sap off

I had a fraps of this game as well and went back over it, I was still in combat for the dispel as well. One possibility is that dispelling a teammate successfully would not reset the OOC timer (perhaps only for CC's which is possible given that some cc's don't even cause combat- blind/poly etc., i know fear is not one of them).

Anyway not trying to start things, they were ggs, just pointing out that combat this whole expansion has been a little.. random to drop.

This has happened to me countless times. There is like a half a second period after it says you're in combat that you can still get sapped..

I remenber a rogue saying that if both the sapper and the "sap-ee" are night elf and the night elf rogue can drop the other night elf's combat by using shadowmeld.
My name is Zoom and I am the fastest man alive. When I was a child, I started the impossible by playing world of warcraft in secret from my parents. Then an accident made me into the possible.  To the outside world, I am just a priest, but secretly I use my speed to win arenas. I am Zoom.

I've had this a few times on live and on TR.

So far, I've never had it on anything but Night Elf characters. I was saying it a few times during matches, that I randomly kept getting restealths, and my paladin just told me to shut up and abuse it like a man.

It's quite interesting, though, how you get a random combat drop as a nelf. Frankly, no idea what causes it.

Your team actually sapped me after a Holy Shock and the first few seconds of a Silence on TR the other day. It went off, but I was clearly combated by the time it landed on me.

I almost kicked my dog in fury.

This. It's actually quite retarded.

This only happens with heals, i'd assume because after the heal it sends a check to see if the healed target was in combat then requires a response to put yourself in combat, hence latency.
It's also why you can hard cast a heal OOC on someone IN combat and successfully start drinking as it lands.

Theres no real fix to it sadly.

This has been in the game forever and has never gotten fixed, wouldn't expect it any time soon.

I noticed that as night elf and night elf only rogue (not always), but they do drop combat faster than other races.

weird, maybe your rogue was not in combat when you dispelled his howl and you dropped combat because you wernt active in combat. and then the rogue got a delayed sap onto you.

This happens on both my Human and Nelf Rogues. They had actually fixed it for awhile, then it came back when TR started.
