What's the top tier comps in season 11?
It seems Rogue Warlock Shaman is the most common comp seen in top tier arena this season! A large part of this may be the introduction of the legendary daggers and PvE gear that benefits rogues more so than other classes. Rogues are able to benefit more from PvE gear because of their inherent ability to survive, allowing them to dip a bit lower on resilience and not really be punished. Add that on to the great synergy between a warlock and shaman and you can see why there are 19 Rogue Warlock Shaman teams across the top 3.

Here's a list of the rank 1 to 3 teams on the US battlegroups as of May 16.

Top 3 Common Comps Seen
Rogue Warlock Shaman - 19 Teams
Priest Warlock Shaman - 5 Teams
Rogue Mage Priest - 4 Teams

Warlock combined with shaman teams still seem to take up the majority of the top comps this season. However, a few melee, hunter and wizard cleaves are reasonably showing up in the top 3 as well. Variety seems a little below average with Rogue Warlock Shaman being dominant. Hopefully we'll be seeing a more balanced variety in MoP with the introduction of PvP power and major PvP changes!

Ruin's Rank 1 team is a Druid Shadowplay, not a Shaman Shadowplay.  Very huge difference, and the article should be corrected to reflect that.

Great article.
Abit shocking that RLS is this strong, compared to other viable comps.
Really glad to see that you, Vanguards, also puts a Retribution Paladin on the top list!
keep it up bro.

Coming from an RLS player myself, I really wouldn't say that DK/Ret/Priest is equally strong to RLS, although that comp is really powerful in the right hands I'd still say that RLS is a way better comp on the ladder than Ret/DK/Priest. On live that is.

Priest are better healers than shaman but why would a lock play with a a class that shares the same cc dr? People are just too fucking stupid to realize this.

This is quite sad to read btw, esp. when you know 60% of those are FOTM rerollers, like always.

A question regarding rogues: Do you think, that the PVE gear is the main influence here? If you compare rogues on live and on TR the difference looks huge, simply because of unreasonable PVE gear (Vial early and Legendaries late into the season). Compared to frost mages, that do not have as good PVE gear on live as on TR for example. Also rogues can play on live without the human racial, due to the 2 set PVE bonus, while on TR most rogue comps play alliance.

I am no expert and do not think that my opinion is necessarily right, but I think that classes that can get away with PVE gear often depend a lot on the availability of good/overpowered options. Looking at some seasons, S1 was huge for rogues with Renataki, S2/3 gave warrios with Stormherald a huge advantage, S3/S4 had 4/4 legendary rogues, S5 had the engineering tinkers, S7 the spirit trinket, S8 the caster PVE gear from ICC and the legendary for plate wearers, S9 had Unheeded Warning for ferals and rogues (ferals probably scaled better with it), as well as insane trinkets for frost mages, and the Darkmoon Card for priests, S10 had the caster legendary, S11 had Vial and Cunning as well as the rogue legendary.

In my humble opinion I think, that up until now the quality of the PVE gear decided PVP success a lot, but I am more interested in opinions of other players.

Yeah warlock shaman rogue is a great comp right now but overall this season has felt pretty balanced, warriors could use a little buff but other than that no complaints.
