The government voted against country-wide legislation which would generate billions of dollars. A few governors are trying to introduce state-wide legislature which would only allow people from that state to play each other. Still not looking like any timetable is going to be soon but we can hope. I'm really hoping to move to Canada to play but I would need to get my shit in order.
Wow, fuck. That's worse than I thought it'd be, things weren't looking that bleak last time I checked up on it a while back.

No money in Canada, everyone is solid.

Montreal is okay. A couple of places to play live. A couple of downsides, rake is a bit too high at Casino Montreal, they do have a bad beat jackpot though.
$5/$10 nl holdem happens like 2-3 times a week. We tried a few times to get $10/$20 going,it never happened and I've never seen people play it either.
Another nice thing here is, you have access to eu poker networks, those are usually linked to betting sites and a lot of gamblers play, so the fish is not drained yet at mid stakes. Also you'll have access to major sportsbookies, helping you with off-poker degen activies with best odds
