Diablo III Launch Date: May 15 – Digital Pre-Sales

Blizzard has finally announced the release date for the much anticipated Diablo III, and the date when many Diablo players are going to be calling in sick for work and school is May 15. The End of Days approaches…. Diablo III will be unleashed from the Burning Hells on May 15, 2012, and you can be ready to play the minute the servers go live by pre-purchasing the game digitally on Battle.net today.

Beginning May 15, players around the world will be able to return to Tristram to discover the dark secrets of a fallen star and begin their quest to save Sanctuary from the impending demonic invasion. To secure your place as a barbarian, monk, demon hunter, witch doctor, or wizard right now, simply log in to your Battle.net account, and then purchase and download* Diablo III, and you’ll be ready to play when the game launches.


World of Warcraft players interested in getting Diablo III for free can still get in on the World of Warcraft Annual Pass, but the promotion will be ending at 12:01 a.m. PDT on May 1, 2012. When you sign up for the Annual Pass and make a 1-year commitment to World of Warcraft, you’ll receive a free digital copy of Diablo III, an exclusive World of Warcraft in-game mount (Tyrael’s Charger), as well as access to the upcoming World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria beta test. So if i get this correct, you can actually download the full game already and have it ready for launch?

or will the DL open as its released??

its cos i got annual pass, but my internet is SO SHIT, that if i wanted to dl it on release i couldnt play until 2-3 days after rofl. (nah jk.)

so if anyone can clarify?

jk they removed/postponed the pvp system =) make every1 buy annual pass and then remove the important part afterwards! success!

psure you can dl already

yes, you can download it if you have preordered via battlenet

but if you preordered in a local store or w/e, you can always download the d3 blizz downloader from tpb and continue downloading afterwards

I really enjoyed PvP in Diablo 2 and during Blizzcon Diablo 3 arena I had quite a lot of fun there too. I sure am looking forward to it (of course along with doing tons of monster slaying).
