Now this might just be me, but doesn't this give a huge advantage to people playing in Group B.

Since people from Group A will be playing Grand Finals games "cold", so to speak.

If you've ever played in a competitive tournament before, you'll know that playing a lot of games at a certain intensity (tournament games are different than normal ladder games) is far better for your chances than someone who's had a day off.

Thats kinda why you see those examples in double elimination where someone has to play many lower bracket games in a row to get to a final and ends up doing it (Vanguards team last week is an example fo that).

For the next tournament you should have both Groups going in the same day, so that noone has a disadvantage.

I don't think there is enough time for that. Also playing all day gets exhausting so having most of a day off actually isn't that bad

It's no difference whatsoever than doing it as it is now.

It's still the same amount of games whether you play all of 1 group 1 day, or half 1 day half another day.

No but when you aren't playing, you still basically have to sit at your computer most of the time, so you pmuch don't move for ~6 hours. Well you can but not for long. I'm not saying you are wrong about maybe having an advantage but it's not really thatttt huge imo

Doesn't matter though because there isn't enough time to do 2 groups of games in 1 day

What? It's no different at all, all you have to do is play half of Group A's games you were planning on playing and half of Group B.

You'd be waiting the same amount of time regardless since the same amount of games will be played per day.

From the player feedback we got - they would rather not have to wait around a whole day, play a game, wait for a while, play again.

Keeping Group A on one day and B on the second was the simplest solution to that problem. Also, we have some goodies for the commentating with Azael, and since he is playing in Group B, it would not be possible if he has to play both days.

Most teams just get a few warm-up games on ladder or by playing war games vs. friends. Having an entire day off would be really nice tbh, definitely a good change from last tournament.
