Which is better for a warrior? I got the LFR version of Gurthalak, but is it better than a T1 weapon?

Gurthalak LFR
Pros
-Chance for multiple Tentacle of The Old Ones procs
-Can proc off of nearly anything for a warrior (Sweeping Strikes Bladestorm SHOULD proc a tentacle if you're lucky nearly every time. Not that you should start doing this in arenas for tentacle procs, but its true. /shrug)
-Ranged Slow (will attack anyone you have targeted, so if you switch target while rooted you could slow someone else that you want to slow. Not to mention since warriors are SOOOOOO easy to train this patch, gives you another chance to catch back up.)
-For warriors you can intervene to them to escape combat situations or to be far enough away to charge back in.
-Now that people focus the tentacles, can save you from a few hits

Cons
-No Resilience
-No Crit Rating
-Tentacles proc can work against you (Not spawning when you need them most)
-Less Strength and Stamina
-Unless transmogrified people will know to look for tentacles, and by now, even if they see one spawn they will go for it immediately.

Honestly it is all situational. Maybe have both and Equip Gurth when not being attacked and Equip T1 when? Obviously you should have a 1h and shield if you're being focused down, but if its another melee just Retal burst them with your T1 2H.

I'm currently using Gurth on my warrior, but I'm probably going to buy the T1 as I've had enough CP for a while and couldn't make the decision myself. If you reach a point in your resilience where the diminishing returns aren't bringing you up as high as you hoped then I'd definitely equip Gurth LFR or Regular in your T1's place. But until then T1.

Remember though this is just my opinion...

Gurth. Did a 2s match today on my warrior, just ran in and sweeping strikes/reckstormed off the bat on top of a DK/holy paladin. 3 tentacle procs, DK died soon after :)

Tentacles rape people.

I'd use Gurthalak when fighting young Japanese girls.

Those aren't that common in our battlegroup.

Still, I'd use Gurthalak cause its an extra slow and more random burst and who doesn't freak out when tentacles are coming to rape you?

Now I got two gurthalaks. Would dual wielding them increase the proc rate or is it still static 2%?

That's why I'm wondering if dual wielding as fury would increase the chance of having 3 worms up, which is always hilarious.

Right, huge problem with equipment macro

/equipslot 16, gurthalak, voice of the deeps
/equipslot 17, gurtahalk, voice of the deeps

... won't work because it doesn't recognize which gurtahalk to equip. Works fine with t1 sword + gurthalak. Anyway to fix this?

Wait until a Mage pops images, or they are stacked, or they keep their pet close=bladestorm=at least 1 dildo is up.

Since the two swords are the same a macro of that kind wont work unfortunately.
But what you can do is setup a gear-set in your EQ-manager where you ignore all the other slots except the swords. If you save that set as "Fusrolak" you will use a macro like this.

/equipset Fusrolak

Good luck!

Just use the equipment manager.  Save a set, tell it to ignore everything except the weapon slots, and you're good.

i'd say that voice of he dps is a good replacement for the t1 cata weapon if you have at least the normal version, not so much the raid finder version.

even then 2 ice lances kill the tentical so it's not even THAT great. the lack of extra stats is not made up for by the proc. They do however have a ridiculous range on them, so if you manage to get a melee out of melee range of one and their partner doesn't take one down, it's a lot of damage. But like i said, only the normal/heroic one, not LFR.

LFR Gurthalak > T1
T2 > LFR Gurthalak
Normal Gurthalak > T2
Heroic Gurthalak > Normal Gurthalak
Vial of Shadows > Heroic Gurthalak
