Its incredible that for the WoW tournament they hire the geekiest looking people who in addition to saying nothing of value, have little clue as to what is actually happening in PvP these days.

"Wow, blizzard cares so much about wow arena b/c they are putting up a 75k prize"

Who do you suggest commentates the tourney?

When a whole community consists of 50% angry and insecure teenagers, this is what you get.

Im actually impressed by the amount of chit chat they can pull off while shit are being set. I dont think its an easy thing to do just to sit there and find things to talk about constantly obviously they will repeat themselves and mostly talk in the favour of the us teams to appease the crowd and their friends but apart from that I dont believe anyone else could have done a better job.

Commentator to the audience: "Do you guys think that Cataclysm arena is more competitive than the Wotlk arena?"
Audience: .... silence.
Commenator: "I definitely think that arenas now are more competitive than in Wotlk."

I'm wondering if there's a limit to bs people are willing to say if they are paid.

You must love the news because damn did you make this sound terible.

Commentator: "Let me hear it for these guys game 5 win or go home!"
Audience: ...silence

Commentator: "Let me hear you if you think Wrath was more competitive"
Audience: ...silence

Commentator: "Let me hear you if you think Cata was more competitive"
Audience: ...silence

Every single thing they tried to do to 'rile' the crowd up was brought on by silence or barely any reaction. It's not like it was just that one thing.

Regardless of the fact that there were multiple instances where the audiences response was lackluster, their answer to the question asked seemed so forced and uneducated. My favorite part was when Soe added in her remarks about arenas competitivness.

After watching the tournament, I have changed my stance that the current version of the game does have the potential to be exciting and fun, but unfortunately even a brilliantly done tourney like this one cannot mask the glaring issues that are plaguing the arena ladders at the moment.

As far as s10 goes on live realms, arena competitivness is out the window and wont be restored until the debacle that is the current MMR system is changed
