For example losing cash to quads with a full house, when they guy played like a complete retard.

I am slowly learning to control my rage, but I still tend to tilt a lot, and I need to take a break for a bit. Any good tips on how not to tilt >_>?

Well to me, that's not REALLY a bad beat. He just didn't play the hand traditionally. To me, a bad beat would be going in with pocket A's against pocket 8s and losing, or catching a pair on the flop only to lose to runner runner straight. What I try to do is just laugh to myself, maybe a little chuckle out loud, but then just reassure myself that the player who beat me is an idiot and just got lucky(silent phil helmuth)

Going in with an overpair and losing to a river card doesn't even surprise me anymore, since some people play poker like bingo, but this one somehow got to me...

Grab a cheese grater and run it accross my wrist 10 times it takes the pain away and i cant play poker for the rest of the day then.
Though make sure you keep swapping arms because skin grafts are expensive.

Eventually, the more you play, the beats dont hurt anymore, if your a consistent poker player/winner, the beats just roll off, sure they bother you but, you cant let it affect you.   Ive played hundreds of thousands of hands, and have dealt as many to, ive seen every beat possible, if your playing for fun, then what does it matter?   If you are playing for a living, or to make a profit, you just gotta let the beats roll off, move on and get your money in with the best of it with some other donkey looking to pay you off with 80% plus odds!!!!!   good luck out there!!!

I swear to god that I've lost at least a third of my games to a river card. Gonna be more aggressive >_>

Bad beats and coolers are inevitable and the more you play the more tolerance you will build up on controlling your emotions when they come. If you feel yourself steaming and affecting your game then its just time to stop.  B)

Ive had KK all in pre vs AK and AQ at a final table that was paying 6k to 1st and he binked an A on the river. Fortunately this was not my frist FT with a bad beat so I took it pretty well.

AKo. flop AA10, I bet pot to get rid of limpers, one shortstack re-raises me all in, shows me  22 and you guess the turn card.

Losing vs quads with full house is something you should not rage about. The hand plays itself, you were on the receiving end, it could be the other way around. It's like losing with AA vs KK preflop all in, the guy didn't do anything wrong.
In my experience, the most tilt inducing hands are the ones where you completely outplay the guy and he puts a bad beat on you or the ones the opponent randomly misplays a hand severely and outdraws you.
My advice is , check your losing hands with your poker software and realize how much money you have lost on hands you played following a bad beat by simply misplaying them. This will give you great incentive to deal with tilt.(also factor in how much value you lost on winning hands because you were not focused)

I found that the best way to deal with it is to hire a mindset coach. They will teach you how to do it and you will make so much more money on the long run.
If you are playing micro/small stakes then tilt is not your primary concern; fundamentals are, focus on those. Put a stop loss like 3 buyins or something and try again few hours later/the next day when you are relaxed.

Good luck.

How did you end up in a multi-way limped pot with AK?

Check this out, $12 tourney with a 4k payout, so not a big deal.

I'm in the small blind with rockets. Goes around the table we get 2 limpers and then the button puts in a 6.5BB raise. He could be trying to steal the blinds but I doubt it because the blinds are only at $30, so re-raise him to $600 (probably a mistake but it's a donkament so whatever). He calls.

Flop

Qh 7h 10c

He bets 3/4 pot. I'm thinking either this guy has got a Q with a decent kicker or he is some donk going for a flush. If he has a Q he'll probably pay me off, if he has a flush draw I want him off of it. So I re-raise him 2.5X his bet, he goes all in.
Okay either this kid has a Q, trips (in which I'm fucked), or he is a donk going for a flush. Regardless probability is on my side. I call (his stack is bigger then mine).

He turns over a 10 9 of spades.....

Turn J
River 8

Fuck off, of course he is Russian.

------------------------------------------------
Another one (damn I'm having bad luck today.

22$ SnG, earlier (only one person out)

2 limpers, pot gets raised by the CO 3xBB(probably has AK, AQ and is just a weak player)

I call on the button with with AJ, flop comes

Jd
10c
4d

Limpers check, CO raises 1/4pot, I re-raise him 4X his bet.Limpers fold, He calls.

Turn
7h

I put him all in (he still has 900 left and the blinds are just 50$). He calls.

River Q

He has AK

WTF is up with these runners hitting their river, and who the hell goes all in with overcards and a gutshot straight on the river. UGH

I go out shortly afterwards trying to double up with 88
-------------------------------------------------
ugh 3rd game in a row 15$ sng

4 limpers, I throw in a 7XBB raise with KQs(d)in late position

SB and another dude in middle position calls.

Flop: 2d 10s Qh

Two checks to me, I raise 3/4

SB calls

turn: Ks

I go all in, sb calls me

Shows a Q4s......wtf, it's like I'm playing the 90c sng

River comes: 8s

fml, 3 in a row
I'm always right.
