I would be interested to know what kind of lag/ping the top players play with.

I really don't see how its possible to get to the top having over a 200MS ping or a connection with any delay at all.

When my 2v2 was active I would run with a 75-150ms ping while my partner usually had somewhere around 200-400ms, if I remember correctly.

Well after seeing some warriors/rogues pvp vids its like they play with a 0 ping or something, they have no delay at all and can do rediculous combinations that I don't think are possible with a ping over 200

I play with a 80-147 ping most of the time, I don't really notice it except sometimes the GCDs can fuck up with spell lock.

To state anecdotal evidence is completely worthless is also fucking stupid since that's what the studies are based on

Word.

691 as of right now. I think the best I've ever seen was around 350, which was maintained for about 4 seconds.

I generally run about a 75ms, but on my 5v5 we have an Aussie who on a good day will get 200ms.

All Blizzard servers are in the same data center in California. The time of the server is just set by them to better organize east and west coast players. However, there's no difference in ping or anything like that.

500 ping here.

You get used to the lag after a while. I've found it's not a huge disadvantage for a caster other than the fact that interrupts have a large chance of missing. :(

For a melee, >200 ping is devastating. I am almost 100% pretty sure that such a ping would severely hinder you from being a top player.

I have played season 1 and the first half of season 2 as a feral (hallo, range bug) with pings of 300-400. I tried hard to be top 30 and it was never really easy (one reason for this is being feral specced, of course). Now I have a ping of 50 ms and am playing moonkin, but I am quite sure I would fare better as a feral now then at the days of 400 ms ;)

460 ping right now... that is about my average, can go all the way up to about 720 on a 'non laggy' day though.
