I feel like I have a very good idea of what the least favorite map will be, but I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks.

As much as I love CTF, it's hard to argue with how powerful smokebomb has become when the stacks get high and a carrier can be globaled.

Eye of the Storm. Why did they remove the old tug-of-war mechanic from it? We could have used some variety from the node based maps. People hiding behind flags and capping because they are goblins is cool too. Ele shamans too are used only for their gimmick, not because they can actually do damage.

I don't see how you could dislike Arathi more than Gilneas. They are the same game type but Arathi allows for far more strategy. It's also far easier to get a node back in AB than it is in Gilneas, where a mediocre team can hold 2 against a far superior lineup.

I remember beating Blood Legion in a Gilneas where we didn't get a killing blow. I feel like that is the only map where such a result is possible.

I feel like EoTS would be a great map if it wasn't for Elemental Shaman. How to solve that issue, i have no idea.

Knock back is what ruins EOTS the capture nodes make it much better then what it used to be in 15 man version of RBGS with the tug of war mechanic. You could never ever ninja cap a node as once an incoming was called 5+ responders would come and prevent the node from dropping even if they weren't winning the fight they would always get timely res's.

Indeed, something else then capture the flag / gilneas would be fun.

WTB Rated AV in a way smaller scale.

A 20 man AV or so would be intense and require a lot of advanced strat planning, would be fun. I believe they actually had a 25 man AV map planned, but it never went live on the PTR.

They would HAVE to change the towers, or at least mirror them. The Horde towers would complete fail with organized teams.

Well, they are VERY tiny rooms with an AB style flag. Like if you had 5 horde attacking an Alliance bunker with 5 alliance defending I feel like there's a lot of room for strategy with all the los and wide open main room.

Flip that scenario around with the Horde tower and it just seems like it'd be an epic cluster fuck. At least that's how I see it from how things usually go in pug AV's. Could be wrong.

Yeah, but you forget the fact that you have to climb two stories before you reach the top of the Horde towers, thus making their defense a lot more impregnable and attacking teams vulnerable to pushbacks and mind controls.

Gilneas, I haven't done any since last season but all that spam AoE crap and certain races/teams getting advantages for the first cap etc was all pretty dumb.

And it was also the one map where the better team could lose.

EotS because of the obvious problems with knockbacks.
