mouseover banish is sick. i hate trying to target a fel hunter pet through shaman totems.
when your tab dotting, notice what your targeting and react to it when you hit the felhunter

however mouseover cs & ss sounds dumb should just have both of those on focus & target instead imo

I use mouseover fear loads, it's great vs comps like RMP where I might have the Mage on focus for interrupts, and be targeting the rogue for peels or dps but want to get a fear on the priest when I see an opportunity.
I also found it particularly useful in S8 vs double healer comps, especially when combined with a mouseover UA.
Mouseover spell lock is purely situational, sometimes useful when a mage pops images and you drop focus, or if a druid tries to clone you from stealth at the start of a game. (could probably use arena1,2,3 for this I guess, but mouseover is something of a habit for me now).

Here's the fear macro
/cast [@mouseover, exists] fear; fear
I use them for cs, ss, fear, devour magic, banish and fel flame.

You can set it up so that all of your mouse buttons, plus several modifiers, will perform different actions when you "click" the players frame on gladius. That way you dont have to worry about trying to target people around the arena, as your gladius frame is fixed.
