In a nicer way than that, this is the exact reason they swapped the system. It's no fun for the majority of the player base to randomly face 2.7k+ quality players, on their newly made 1500 team. It makes it impossible for Joe Blogs to farm up his rating, because Karl Quality pushes him back down because he decided to make a new team.

Yes, some adjustments to the MMR system need to be done, and the bandade of just covering the wound by removing personal MMR being shown won't be enough now.

You, as the only person on this entire forum so far, fail to understand how a blatantly obvious exploit works, despite numerous different posters explaining it to you & it being smeared out probably around 50 times now in like 15 threads about it in the past week. After which you tell me that Im an idiot for complaining about that exact same issue I wouldnt understand?

Just because im a nice guy & I actually do feel sorry for you being this clueless (i have a hard time believing you can actually be this stupid), ill write it out one more time.

The Arena Rating system in patch 4.1, by chaR
----------------------------------------------

Groundrules:
1) There is team rating (TR), personal rating (PR), team matchmaking rating (TMMR) & individual matchmaking rating (MMR).
2) TMMR equals the sum of the MMRs divided by the amount of players.
3) The amount of TR gained per game is based on how far your current TR is away from your TMMR. The opponent's TMMR has absolutely NO INFLUENCE on the amount of TR you gain until your TR gets close enough to your TMMR. This means if your TMMR equals infinite, you will always gain the maximum amount of TR in every game you play, regardless of whether you face a 500, 1500,  2500 or 3500 TMMR team.
3.1) This also means that you wont lose any TR until your TR is close enough to your TMMR!
4) The amount of MMR every player gains is based on the TMMR of your team & the TMMR of your opponent. The relation between your MMR & the opponent's TMMR has NO INFLUENCE on the amount of MMR you will gain for a game.
4.1) This means each player will gain alot of MMR if their TMMR is alot below their opponent's TMMR, but this also means every player will lose alot of MMR if their TMMR is way above their opponents TMMR.

The exploit:
Team X is planning to use the infamous MMR exploit to get gladiator. Player a, b & x all have 2100MMR  from playing together in the past. Player c & d who are their friends plan to help them with this. Player c and d also both had 2100MMR before.
To start this exploit, player c & d purposely lost games to drop their MMR until it reached 0.
Now player a queues up with player c & d. Player a has 2100MMR, player c has 0MMR, player d has 0MMR. This means they will have a TMMR of (2100+0+0)/3 = 700. Though since they dropped their MMR on purpose, they arent 700 players in reality! They should be at 2100MMR.
So now player a, c & d start winning teams who are significantly worse than they are. Since they all gain equal MMR per game, player a will have 3000MMR by the time player c and d have 900MMR. So by then they have a TMMR of only 1600, which is still 500MMR below what they actually are worth even though player a now has 3000MMR.
Incase their TMMR gets to high, player c and d can leave the team, drop their MMR back to 0 and then rejoin player a and queue up again. Incase they'd do it at this point it means their TMMR would be back to 1000 (by (3000+0+0)/3 = 1000). Player c and d keep doing this until player a reaches a MMR of 6000. This would still mean that when player a c and d queue up, they would only be at 2000TMMR ( by (6000+0+0)/3 = 2000). This is still 100 below what their actual value would be! So they wouldnt have any trouble reaching this, they only need enough time.
So now player a has a MMR of 6000.

Now player c and d repeat this entire process to get the MMR of player b and player x to 6000 aswell.


After this is done, player a, b and x all have a MMR of 6000.

Now players a,b and x create a new team, called team z.
Their TMMR will be at 6000.
Now team z only queues up at 5am, which means team z will only meet very low rated teams, probably around 1700 rating.
Though team z's TR will gain the maximum amount of rating every single game, because the TR of team z is so far away from the TMMR of team z! Even by the time team z reaches 3000TR (which is only about 35 wins), they still is a gap of 3000 between their TMMR and TR, meaning they will still be gaining the maximum amount of TR per game! Since they dont lose any TR either, they can just keep on playing, without any drawback until they run out of TMMR to bench off.
Now the TMMR of team z wont increase at all in these games, but that doesnt matter, they dont need this. They only need a high TMMR so they can keep on getting the maximum amount of TR by playing low rated teams until they reach gladiator TR with team z.

So after team z has won 35 games at 5am against 1500 rated teams, they should be sitting at 3000TR and secured their gladiator title by never facing a single team above 2000TMMR.
And that my friend, is how you exploit the MMR system.

Simple fix. Limit the number of teams you can make. You can only make 5 3v3 teams every season. This stops people MMR exploiting, and allows the much better TBC system to be introduced. I don't see how people would be effected by limited team forming/switching.

The tbc system was so easily exploited aswell  you know. Said this like 5 times already in this thread but only one person seemed to notice :(

How could you exploit it? Queue dodging, remaking your team? What other methods? I'm unaware sorry.

PR would reset if you left the team, teams you meet were based on the sum of prs divided by the amount of players.
I know various ppl who got gladiator like that n even a guy who exploited that to get rank 1.
It was mainly effective because 2v2 still gave glad though (boost player a to glad in 3s, player c and d in 2s) but nevertheless itd still be exploitable of you would use alts, other accs or even 5v5.

I feel like blizzard is a country like China. They censor everything and try to keep people in the dark. If there is a problem, they completely ignore it and make sure it is not spread.
