Frost DK's need nerf, but Hungering Cold is not the thing that should be nerfed.
The biggest problem is how necrotic strike scales with cooldowns such as Pillar of Frost.
I love how mages post here and whine about the damage, any fully geared mage will push more burst damage and do bigger crits than equally geared frost DK. Mages have absurd control, absurd damage and absurd survivability.
Everyone is always blaming DK's for being overpowered, if you say the same about mages, then you just have "L2P issues".

tl;dr: There is other classes that are just as overpowered as death knights, nobody whines about them and they won't get nerfed. Do something about necrotic strike instead of hungering cold.

Man, who cares? Do you realy think that Ghostcrawler will read your post and revert HC nerf and do something with Necrotic Strike?

LOL.

I won't say I know anything, but how has AMZ's absorb been in season 9 for those of you who've played Unholy to a further extent than I have? By the looks of it, a ~30k absorb doesn't seem to do jacksh*t against anyone's damage. Could someone shed some light on this. As it stands right now, it looks like a waste of both talent points, and in the case that one specs into it, an Unholy rune.

It doesn't stop damage for the full ten seconds or anything like that, but it can still make a pretty big difference.

I don't think the points in Sudden Doom — the only real alternative — are worth it.

you talk as if its a bad thing that frost will become dead, not that it will anyway - it'll still do more than fine in cleave comps cause it will still have retarded damage output

I just want to go back to unholy so i don't really give a shit about any frost changes.

DS change is kinda annoying, but I suppose something was needed.

I just want to see the priests that are gonna miss their SW:D on Hungering cold :D

Every patch a spec dies out. Thats why the term fotm is very strong in WoW.

Just logged on the PTR to check if they made the cast immune to interrupts. It's still possible to interrupt Hungering Cold to lock out frost abilities, and I also realized death knights can no longer cast Hungering Cold while moving.

The spec is officially dead if it goes live like this.

while you're at it remove the cast reduction from necrotic strike will you

1) because necrotic strike is supposed to put the healer behind on healing and reduces their cast time? really doesnt make sense how they are supposed to catch up
2)it stacks with mind numbing poision making my 1.4second cast 3.1seconds - herpaderpa...

It's not to bad though for the dk team is for example a mage uses his CS on the dk that means that the dk's healer can free cast. If u use it correctly it's still very good in some situations.
