FROST IS DEAD NEXT PATCH...

I don't think I even complained in my original post.

you know what other abilities CC everyone in close proximity to the caster? Fears, three specifically. One is a long cooldown, one is a caster's only peel and one is the staple of a class

You know what breaks Fear? like, everything. Seriously, like.. 11 things.

so hungering cold is balanced because ________?

saying something is completely dead is not complaining because _______?

and oh yeah, death knights need more arena viability. everyone does. everyone needs to be able to arena as every spec so the game can finally achieve the balance you know so much about as a death knight.

jesus i can't wait until i can play with a fury warrior and a fire mage and a combat rogue

It needed a longer cooldown and made into a single target effect. (fixes that LoS ignoring shit as well)

This just means that the freeze is probably only effective when you chain it with other cc now.

in tsg you might get away with gripping healer in focus throwdown healer charge up your freeze and chain it with throwdown. Of course this wouldn't work if you got kicked

Because it's just a fact the spec will be dead if this goes live. Frost is basically built around Hungering Cold. It's the one thing that makes up for losing unholy's utility.

Also, you must not know me very well if you think I'm actually complaining about frost dying. I don't care if the frost dies, because I'll always have unholy. I'll just play whatever is better.

The bold is kind of the entire point of my posts.

I also think it's a pretty cheesy ability. But if Blizzard wants to keep the spec viable in PVP, frost will need some pretty serious compensation in the event Hungering Cold is directly or indirectly removed for PVP. That's all I'm saying.

I would have preferred if they just made the ability a single-target CC with a 1.5 minute cooldown.

What do you compensate frost dks with... they have absurd control, absurd immunities and absurd damage? They take away the absurd control and bam the spec isn't viable for some reason or am i missing something?

the point of your post is, at least a little, game balance, right? saying that a spec will be imbalanced in a negative way if the changes go live?

don't you think that one class having two viable specs that fulfill similar roles is what fucks up game balance to begin with? i mean, it's the same logic. look at it like a chart where all the classes are listed against each other. the second you get outside of ten viable specs that are exclusive to ten viable classes the game gets exponentially harder to balance. if every class doesn't have it, why should death knights?

i don't care. i just want everyone to be dragged down to hunter's level.

i hope the cast time on hungering cold is increased by necrotic strike and frost fever.

It is affected by Necrotic Strike. I don't think it's affected by Frost Fever.

Anyway, you're assuming I care about the spec dying. I really don't as long as death knights have one viable spec. That's my only interest.

does it matter anyway? i'm happy frost is getting nerfed, but dont forget it wont matter since with the death strike nerf, every dk will be dead meat in arena, we will probably have to spec blood in order to survive more than 45 seconds

edit: especially if playing with a druid

The class had too many cc breakers, survival cds and all-in one abilities(NS etc) which should never exist in first place, considering how much damage they were doing as Frost.
Hungering Cold was not the source of the problem, they could very well keep it the way it was but everyone will just take this nerf because the class is just too strong.

don't get it twisted motherfucker

he_does_not_care so telling him that he does doesn't matter. you know why?

one, because you're a male draenei

two, because he doesn't fucking care

yeah, so what if he made this thread. he doesn't care about it either. this thread could burn to the ground right now and do you know what he would feel? indifference.

hope you like all the indifference he's showing you, but even if you don't.. guess what, he doesn't care.. LOL!

oh, I see now.

How to almost completely balance world of wacraft pvp:

"Your team is not able to join the queue right now because there is a Hero Class found in your lineup."
