Mage survivability and longevity (due to frost armor change, frost armor glyph, and ice barrier buff) is way up. Otherwise, RMP/FMP will just plain be better after the patch unless RLS gets so good that it keeps RMP in check.
*RLS is going to be stupid good, locks are crying on the forums but they're going to be so strong next patch. Shadowcleave will be great too, if it can beat KFC (i have no idea)
people keep saying wizard cleaves will be amazing - i don't really know, never saw anybody try playing them at high ratings on PTR, but MLD seems good on paper

the map itself isn't that bad after the starting zone change, but the fact that there are zero static pillars is a fairly useless gimmick
