For those of you who have been playing the PTR... How is the balance? Is there a new OP class? Did warriors get nerfed enough? Enjoying the new RoV? Give us an overall idea of your thoughts on the patch.

- The amount of guild experience rewarded for rated Battleground guild group wins has been dramatically increased.

- Players are now rewarded guild experience for Honorable Kills in the field.

- Players are now rewarded guild experience for Battleground wins in Battleground brackets up to level 80.

- Arena teams are now awarded guild experience for wins. The entire team must be members of the same guild to earn this experience.

awesome

i confirmed on PTR that you do indeed get rep. you can confirm yourself, even on the live realms, because when you mouseover guild rep, it says on the tooltip that guild xp always grants guild rep. but I actually did PTR guild arenas and got rep for them.

@OP:

*Warriors didn't really get nerfed. Charge/Intercept off DR makes Warrior burst windows even more potent. They synergize with other stunning classes even better now. KFC now has two extra defensive cooldowns and they will no longer get blown up as easily by other Warrior teams due to the CS nerf.

*Shaman didn't really get nerfed. SLT is the best defensive cooldown in the game at preventing healer zergs from succeeding. It can't be silenced or prevented in any way, except for stuns.

*Mage damage is a lot more bursty, but overall damage done will go down due to the loss of one whole DR category of roots, and the loss of frost armor FoF procs. Mage survivability and longevity (due to frost armor change, frost armor glyph, and ice barrier buff) is way up. RMP can now successfully play an outlast style, even against comps like KFC. if wizard cleaves end up being really good, Mages might get pretty insane. Otherwise, RMP/FMP will just plain be better after the patch unless RLS gets so good that it keeps RMP in check.

*RLS is going to be stupid good, locks are crying on the forums but they're going to be so strong next patch. Shadowcleave will be great too, if it can beat KFC (i have no idea)

people keep saying wizard cleaves will be amazing - i don't really know, never saw anybody try playing them at high ratings on PTR, but MLD seems good on paper

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have yet to see anything about RoV in the latest "final version" of the patch notes from Blizzard, although it didn't seem too bad(buggy) outside of the fire that is, on the PTR.

They might have decided to scrap it, because as of the very latest patch, the pillars were invisible but started up. The fire was invisible too, and only appeared in the beginning. They probably ran out of time to fix it.

Yea, sounds about right, the fire was invisible but I always thought it was just me lol. Ah well, nothing to complain about really although it's probably better than ruins with the new starting areas.

they should have made the two small pillars stay up all the time, and have the big pillars go up and down. Prevents stalemates where neither team wants to commit to running across the map, but gives healers a permanent casted CC LoS, at the expense of a larger, easier-to-LOS large pillar at their disposal.

the map itself isn't that bad after the starting zone change, but the fact that there are zero static pillars is a fairly useless gimmick

Any impressions of how hard the boomkin nerf is? Are they getting gutted or will LSD2 still be stupidly good after patch?

yeah but the second you put it up you'll get the effect. Imagine being at 5% hp as the shaman and your team mates at 100%, instantly you'll all go to 70% or whatever (DID NOT CALCULATE)

RMP is kinda obvious, and RLS

warrior damage on non-plate is still incredibly high even though warriors would have you think they lost 90% of their damage

they effectively lost one of their few counters, other warriors.
