I really feel we would need a compensation for this. SP is simply lacking tools and needs a lot of assistance from teammates. With dispell we can make sure our mates are ready to provide that assistance. Without dispell and usually being trained most of the time (i.e. NO DMG) I imagine SPs will just become a liability for their teams :(

Once blizzard realizes we can still mass dispel teammates out of cc, it will surely be nerfed as well :priest:

Terrible band-aid fix, mass dispel will still dispel magic, and there's absolutely no point to make it dispel only 1 debuff from ourselves if we can't dispel others (besides making it hell getting out of novas)

wait I guess it purges 1 but it dispels 2 off ourselves? weird wording

we'll see how it ends up, shadow has no identity/niche now, it's basically a generic caster with high dps, strong shields and by far the lowest skill cap. Should at least let us cast cure disease in shadowform, since apparently dispel protection is asking for too much.

Wow, what a let down.

So, now that every melee has atleast 1 stun, every healer a dispel. Where's elementals and spriests spamable cc like other casters have?

i fail to understand why every patch is doing nothing but buffing TV melee cleaves that can actually kill a player within a strang or a repent.. how the hell are spriest teams going to even stand a chance vs those comps now?

What this game really needs is a Duelist mount. It can be the same model as the Gladiator mount, but maybe have a gimpy leg and only be able to fly around in circles. I'd still ride it.

Disc now only removes 1 effect from enemies.. nice one for our mana efficency which is bad anyways compared to any other healer.

Shadow mana is already kinda bad without this stupid mass dispelling sheep bullshit, md is like 7.5k mana alone. Have fun being oom even more now.

I agree with the earlier post someone made about blizzard have dug themselves a hole with all healers having dispel magic and totally linearizing the game.

You knew it was coming.

Basically having a Shadow Priest on your team made it retardedly hard to line up any kind of CC chain for a kill.

Healer: Feared!
SP: Got it!
Healer: Poly'd!
SP: Got it!
Healer: Strangulate!
SP: Got it!

Even still, I don't think it should be completely removed... because you guys are right, the removal of this gives no incentive to bring Shadow Priests over Warlocks. As for a fix to this... I have no clue.

I played on the beta til around level 30 it's actually really, fun, release is at 6PM GMT today for those who preordered.
