(edit: here is a repost of the thread http://wowriot.gamer...gendary-E-Whore)

There was a thread up a short while ago that detailed the fall of Deus Vox. Unfortunately for the fellow that posted it, he really didn't understand the half of it.

This was an interesting read, and it shed some light on some things that I find very compelling but perhaps I should help you understand what REALLY killed Deus Vox.

Our story begins in 2005. A mage by the name of "Kewpuh" was trying to make a name for himself on Mal'Ganis, where he had a swell time raiding with some friends from the Something Awful forums in the legendary guild "Elitist Jerks". Things could have been better for Kewpuh, but he did the best he could with what he had to work with. Eventually, he came to realize that maybe he'd be better off playing a different class on another server, and thus Nerdshoe was born. Nerdshoe created a priest on Shadow Moon to play with some real life friends. Things went well for a while... until Shadow Moon all-stars Anujit and Sithgear witnessed his healing talents in Warsong Gulch. Nerdshoe was invited to Bloodsworn, which at the time was dominating content. Some things happened that really don't really affect this story too much but some drama affected the guild and Anujit and Domali high-tailed it to Shattered Hand to play with Death and Taxes. The future of Bloodsworn was uncertain, until THE LEGEND Clockwork decided to sign a treaty with another successful Shadow Moon guild, Late Night Crew. Thus, Overrated was born.

Overrated was an unstoppable force in the PVE scene for a very long time. Overrated transferred to Black Dragonflight as soon as the option was introduced to players. Overrated quickly established themselves as the dominant guild on the server, overshadowing the accomplishments of the previous top server guild (Fires of Heaven, who some of you might recognize as a guild that was supposed to be good but really they weren't anything special). The transfer in itself is not very significant to this story, however, as the tragedy of this story is born from someone completely unexpected.

Nerdshoe, as you now know, was an important member of Overrated. As a core healer, he was essentially the backbone of the guild. It might even be safe to say that he WAS the guild. Nevermind Clockwork, Hoon, Mozan, Trox, Solmyr.. it doesn't matter. Nerdshoe was Overrated. Nerdshoe made the guild seem so appealing that he even introduced his brother to it and convinced him to make a character on their server. Thus, Huanjia was born. Huanjia didn't appear to be as devious as one would eventually come to discover, but what the guild didn't know wouldn't hurt anyone... or so they thought.

Huanjia met Structo, who then became best friends. The two stuck together until the very end, including the unfortunate demise of Overrated. After a US HORDE FIRST Kel'Thuzad kill in 2006, Overrated found themselves a little cocky when it came to content. With a desire to create more Atiesh staves but unwilling to clear trash in AQ40, the guild resorted to patch 5-ing walls and skipping straight to C'thun for the staff item. Thanks to some drama started by Nerdshoe and the Legend Bucwild, the main tank (Nerfie) stopped raiding and found himself in a captivating e-relationship with some smokin' hot e-broad named Ezmerelda. Unfortunately for the lovebirds, Nerfie was unwilling to handle the harrassment from Buc, Nerdshoe and others and decided that the best thing to do would be report them for hacking. The guild met the justice system of Blizzard Entertainment and punished them to a permanent ban on the eve of the release of Burning Crusade. Overrated was crushed, and many members decided that it was time to call it quits. Nerdshoe threw in the towel, and Huanjia remained with his beloved guild where he could do nonsense with Structo until the end of eternity.

The guild decided the best course of action would be to transfer to Korgath to provide competition for Death and Taxes during BC progression. Burning Crusade comes around, and we meet a talented Holy Paladin by the name of Carry. Carry is clearly the best healer in Overrated, and when Nerdshoe returns to play this newly introduced Horde class, he quickly feels threatened by Carry as he is a) quite a superior healer and B) has intruded upon his relationship with Clockwork. Not one to be outshined or outdone in any way in the eyes of his beloved Clockwork, Nerdshoe quickly took charge of the situation and managed to alienate Carry by being as unreasonably rude to him as possible, as well as securing his position as DKP officer after Mot decided he was tired of doing it. One could say that this truly signaled the death of Overrated. Due to burnout of content and lack of solid hunters, Overrated called it quits. People transferred off the server, a hero by the name of Auraphex attempted to lead a new crew of people (annoying retards) through BT/HYJAL/SUNWELL and the remaining important Overrated players went onto other things.

Time passes and we find Carry, Bucwild, Obscenitor and Solmyr now playing on Laughing Skull with Deus Vox. Deus Vox is wildly successful during Sunwell, and the thrill of being on top again excited Structo. Structo decided maybe it would be nice to reroll on Laughing Skull and play with his friends. Of course, Huanjia followed. Of course, not before they managed to FOOL GMS THROUGH EMAIL AND STEAL THE OVERRATED GUILD BANK. Structo managed to be awarded Guild Master of Overrated after Auraphex went inactive for (less than) a week and took advantage of a confused GM. 50k richer and full of sunmotes in their bags, Structo and Huanjia set sails for Laughing Skull. WOTLK comes out and Huanjia and Structo reunite with their lost friends (including a wide cast of Overrated players that also came to Laughing Skull). Some completely uneventful things happened in this time period which led Structo to join DV and become close friends with Carry and Nokaru, as Huanjia decided to take over a reformed Banana Boyz on Laughing Skull's Horde.

After some more unimportant things happened, Huanjia sold and stole his account back a few months later and decided to reunite with Structo. Huanjia also becomes close with Nokaru and Carry, and the 4 soon become inseparable. Another wonderful human being by the name of Thyacar becomes a part of the circle, as well as Terias shortly after. The devious nature of Structo and Huanjia begins to rub off on Nokaru and Carry, which then starts to change their attitudes in raids. During this time, DV is quite tired of Icecrown Citadel and bored with the current flow of the game. Around this point in the guild's life, Huanjia realizes that he really truly despises a player named Ohnoes. He notices that whenever Carry and himself are in vent trying to have conversations, Ohnoes is often taking it upon himself to come into the channel and move his retard friends in with him and just talks aimlessly about anything and everything, regardless of the fact that Carry and Huanjia would be trying to focus on things in game. Over time, Huanjia makes the others realize how much of a faggot this guy really is, and their views all become quite twisted of not only Ohnoes but other people in the guild. Disillusioned by how boring and meaningless the lives of his members were, Nokaru even at one point came to compare them to mindless drones that are there to do nothing but his bidding. They are there to do his tasks so he can get on with his life, and they were all completely disposable. Not a bad way to look at it, either.

Anyway, Ohnoes was a problem. He had a terrible ego and his antics with his e-girl Efy only caused headaches for Rak and Carry. Huanjia worked his magic to come up with an unbeatable group plan, which they decided to give the name "Shadowstomp Beastcleave". Through Shadowstomp Beastcleave, the guys created a persona named SupremeBLT. SupremeBLT was then leveled from 1 with the sole purpose of griefing Ohnoes' GDKP runs where he tried to get his Shadowmourne on his alt. The guys would have none of this, as this guys attitude was truly repulsive. Not only did this guy expect people to come to his runs with little to no reward or gain for themselves, but he also expected people to come to a Yogg 0 JUST SO HE COULD HAVE THE MIM head. Thanks to Huanjia's heroic deeds, he tricked Lamissa into joining a raid group with him (she was part of the group that cleared up to Yogg for Ohnoes earlier in the week) and disabled all of the keepers. Ohnoes was heartbroken and had to resort to paying the guild to clear it all again so he could have his head. This event would hold very much significance for Shadowstomp Beastcleave, because it inspired them to take advantage of the "turn the icecrown buff off" mechanic that proved vital to their griefing efforts. Long story short, they griefed Ohnoes for months, caused him to freak out and eventually led to him leaving the guild, then rejoining begging to be an officer again. Ohnoes was taught a lesson and he was reshaped into an actual human being.

That's right. The very leadership of the guild was responsible for a month-long griefing effort, simply because a guy annoyed Huanjia on vent.

Now to the demise of Deus Vox. As stated before, Shadowstomp Beastcleave was a fun group of best friends. We were all very close. Then Huanjia, being the turbonerd he is, managed to let the pathetic hands of the e-girl get to him, and he began spending less time with his real friends and more time in private channels with some retard girl. Little did he know that Nokaru also had the same interests in this girl. Slowly, a rift was forming between them and this ridiculous girl from Canada that neither of them would never see was caught in the middle. They all slowly started to drift apart, and Huanjia stopped playing the game altogether. Eventually, after Nokaru was pushing his influence on the girl stronger and stronger, the girl told Rak that she wanted to be with Huanjia, not him. Upset with the rejection and looking for the closest source of affection, Rak quickly approves of Pheromone's application (much to Carry's dismay). Time passes and Huanjia eventually comes to his senses and realizes he's being a total moron with and e-girl and kicks her to the e-curb, then tries to patch up his relationship with his true friends. Unfortunately for him, the damage was unrepairable. The corruption of the one they call "Ruth" had already struck the heart of Nokaru, and eventually the heart of the Chung. The story picks up with the previous post about how DV was crushed by whoever that paladin was.

So, want the TL;DR?

Kewpuh was the reason for the death of Deus Vox. If Kewpuh had never left Elitist Jerks, Huanjia would have never joined Overrated, then eventually come to Laughing Skull to corrupt Rak, then meet an e-girl that Rak would fall in love with, reject him and cause him to accept Pheromone into the guild. Deus Vox would probably have defeated all current heroic content, and everyone would be happy. Unfortunately for them, my job is to destroy guilds, and I think I'm doing a pretty damn good job.

Oh, and just as a sidenote. Thix was next on our hitlist. He was literally 2 days away from being the next SupremeBLT victim. I wish Deus Vox the best of luck in the coming months with Lamissa leading the guild, and more than anything I wish we could just go back to the good old days before all of the bad things happened. Rak, I don't care that you were trying to be with my e-girl. I didn't care then and I don't care now. I have a saying: no matter where you go, someone's going to try to fuck your girl. It doesn't matter to me, can we all just be friends again? Donny is getting married, maybe we should all reunite at his wedding. Are we really going to let something as stupid as this fucking game destroy our friendship? Remember when we used to suggest getting people raped when they annoyed us? Well is it wrong to rule that out anymore? There's not anything in our story that couldn't be repaired with just a quick and easy rape of the person that destroyed our relationship. Just think about it, it's all I ask.

That was alot of text for a totally pointless conclusion.

Warrior survivability is overpowered entirely due to self-healing, though. That can only be changed by nerfing Blood Craze and Second Wind.

Considering the thread that it was a response to was also posted here, I knew I'd get the most views from the audience the original was targeted at. Makes sense, right?

This whole thing is uh, interesting. The other post more than crosses plenty of lines that deal with the Internet Harassment Laws in all 50 states, and in most European countries. I would strongly recommend that for your own benefits (whoever is making these posts) that you try your best to keep your information to yourself, and off of the internet. Lawsuits have been made, and won, by topics that provide far less personal information than this one does; so this could get out of hand extremely fast.

I personally could care less what happens to the posters of this information, but I figured everyone deserved a heads up before they find themselves in a legal battle over something in a video game.

Don't agree with people posting other people's RL information either, especially for something like this.

Ultimately if your guild is "destroyed" by something like this, its your own fault.

I'd love to see a mortale vs. mortale argument about bodybuilding

I bet they'd both have many excellent points

Interestingly enough the rate of homosexuality and bisexuality in the autistic community is completely out of sync with the rest of the population. Is it because autism and gay genes flock together?

No, I COULD care less; because I do 'sort of' care to begin with.

This wasn't directed at your post, just so you know. This was directed at people posting what appears to be other peoples Real Life names, along with actual pictures that they claim to be this person. By posting both of these things without the person's consent they are crossing a pretty dangerous line; which usually isn't taken action upon. However, while doing both of the previous things, and then adding Libel into it these people are Defamating this person.
