Hmm mine works, tho I can't recall if I had to change a line in the lua files to make it work or if I downloaded it sumwhere else.

Interrupted is a remade version for cata if you wana try it out

Tbh like Blizzard said they want you to balance stats. So get like 8% haste and then all mastery or crit depending on spec.

Didn't see this macro posted yet, so here's a macro that first redirects and then kidney shots the focus target.

Nice guide, pretty much covers most stuff for new rogues.

However the combat readiness reads as if it was useless against casters. While it's true that the buff wont stack, but the damage taken while the buff is stacked is reduced. All of it (including already previously applied magic/curse dots).

It's fun when I end up against a warlock in 1v1 and his pet reduces his damage by 50% and my health actually restoring rather than droping ev en with full dots.

EDIT: also you might want to add the 8/2/31 sub specc for double dps comps (http://www.wowhead.c...hcZbZsGfcdu0Rho no QR but imp recup and most damage/utility)

i prefer having 2/2 bcs the stealth talent isn't all that helpful and while opening on a mounted target garrote->backstab just pisses me off to see them ride away unsnared.. preference i guess..

Setting up a dance bar regardless of stance

Change your action bar from 1 to 2, you can do this by just clicking the little up and down arrow on default UI. Use stance style macros for every single bind.  Say in action bar 1(the default setup), pressing 3 does sap in stealth, garrote in dance and evis in unstealth.  If you were to change to action bar 2 and place this macro in for that bind, you would avoid having to setup a dance bar, stealth bar and unstealth bar. It also avoids the lag from stances. You then proceed to make macros for all 12 binds on actionbar 2 and then don't have to worry about trying to setup all dance binds in 6 seconds.

- You can also use focus macros / spells, by binding page 2 to something, and putting all of your focus spells on page 2.

Thanks, haven't played a rogue in three years, and this definitely helped me step back into it without feeling like I was missing some core change.  I'm papercrafting our best healer kill combo's, and I think this is about as good as we can do:

(Assumes 3/3 HAT for 1.29cp generation, recup already rolling for 14 energy/sec and Slaughter for 40 energy BS/ambush and 29 energy hemo as 8/2/31 spec without Initiative)

Premed>CS>Backstab>Hemo>KS(+dance)>Ambush>Garrote>Ambush>Garrote>(-dance)Evis

There are three empty GCD's in there for energy regen while waiting for the next step (Don't just spam one after the other or you'll overlap and run out of energy).  You can fit in an ambush before Garrote if you're worried about positioning, but I'm not 100% sure the silence/stun lockout will be complete if you do.  The hemo seems sub-optimal and isn't necessary for CPs if you use premed, but it's that or save an extra 29 energy until after Evis for a trailer Backstab or Kick.

I haven't really worked out anything for bursting DPSers because that seems to effectively rely on spamming as many Ambush as possible during a positional-friendly moment, or gimping yourself severely with Kidney Shot into dance to guarantee the ambushes.

Then Garrote + Shiv + Backstab? Not like it hurts to apply crippling, right?

Hello everyone!
I just have returned to WoW. (I had a lot of RL problems, that's why I quit)
I missed 4.1 and 4.2. I would appreciate any help that I can update this Guide to 4.2!
Just post things, that you think are now outdated or just plain wrong.
And of course I would appreciate suggestions what I should add.

Smokebomb vs Spirit Link Totem

In the start of Cataclysm the spirit link totem would work as normal inside smokebomb. Cant remember what patch it was, but as of now, if a shaman uses spirit link totem inside smokebomb, it wont work until the smokebomb is gone.

Neat trick if you can anticipate an inc spirit link (locked the shaman on nature tree, garrot silence up, a team mates silence up etc), you might score a kill by dropping that bomb on his spirit link ;)
