That being said, 8500 conquest points unspent... if this is true (for feral) we're done. Unless somehow nova/roots become really, really ineffective.

So is getting hibernated by the only other class that roots regularly (druids)... who else roots? Imp Hamstring, Ele Shamans? The real problem was mages to begin with... for ferals, caster cleaves basically crap on us as is. Add in tremor nerf, add in no fear break from zerk, and... yep.

I think (for me at least) you rarely see overreaction... but this is a pretty legitimate concern for feral. As resto, it makes sense... right, because they dont need gap closers and this will force them to dispel themselves rather than just spam shift.

Let's not forget the fantastic feral latency issues.

You don't toss around class defining mechanics in mid-season on a whim. This is the kind of shit you do while you're "redefining the game" with a new expansion beta if at all.

This almost comes off as "you know, sometimes the server decided that we weren't allowed to DF the ferals on the green-light server lag. We decided to fix that problem."

nice to see there is no nerf to mage novas. Mage teams are going to be a complete counter to ferals now, and mage teams were really the only teams that feral was great versus.

(I'm talking pre 4.0, ie, pre retarded feral melee cleaves like feral/dk and feral/enh)

It's a lot deeper than that, this mechanic (which agreed is kind of broken) simply compensates for a massive weakness... and you'll see what happens when it's gone.

Play with a paladin or gtfo.

Lust is a 10 minute CD... not really the same thing. Like comparing apples and oranges. I'd say it's more comparable to the purge change although the purge mechanic didn't change at all... just the cost/effectiveness. It does the same thing, just slower.

So maybe it's more comparable to .... oh, heck if I know.

Must be nice, being able to spell steal our instant cast and not even knowing it because you've never had to use it.

if this change goes through feral will be in a rough shape. if you get rooted by a caster you don't really have any options outside of pure mitigation. look at the other mellee:

- warriors can blade storm or heroic fury. they can also spell reflect incoming casts

- DKs can grip back in range, range silence, shell/amz to avoid damage, UH can stun with the ghoul

- Ret can freedom, repent/hoj depending on the distance. Bubble if really needed

- Enhance can shock, ground, wolves and sham rage?

- Rogues can cloak, vanish, imp sprint. sometimes blind.

- Feral can ??? just sit and eat damage? shift out and hard cast cyclone?

I understand they are trying to reduce the uptime but this seems to be over the top. Ice mage teams will be very hard for feral.
