Okay - so, per Aimlessgun's suggestion, I created a resilience detecting addon last night. It is in very early development - but I decided to release it to ArenaJunkies nonetheless. Posting it in it's own thread (though in the arena tournament forums, as this was where I first saw the suggestion) to give it more attention - may have it posted more prominently elsewhere on the wbesite soon.

what would be the most amazing mod would be one that showed information for the arena junkies armory in game...
so when you go into arena, you mouse over someone and it shows w/e stats and whatnot xD
btw, nice addon

I'll look into it. I had thought about it but once proximo started showing specs I decided not to. Now, looks like the possibility is open again.

Also, Hemingway just made a new update.

Just something I've noticed with the new update, it won't allow me to set the output to Warning. It gives me a "Invalid area (try all lowercase)" message.

..and yes I tried lowercase, but it didn't work.

Is there any way for the number to round, rather than have it display "x has 421.312983901839018 resilience."?

Nice work, i'll try it. Oh, and cant you calculate enemy's resilience more accurate thorugh warlocks manadrain because of the fix amount?

Just something to mention if you're interested in a cleaner method of detecting if it's a player, but.

if (arg2 == "SPELL_PERIODIC_DAMAGE" and bit.band(arg5, COMBATLOG_OBJECT_AFFILIATION_MINE) == COMBATLOG_OBJECT_AFFILIATION_MINE ) then

should work fine, and would remove the need for the Kramer_GetPlayerUnitId check.

hey guys, i would like to try out that addon too.
it works so far that i can set up the base spell [shadowword:pain] (i'am disc) and i can set up the spell base dmg [another question, do i need to put in the dmg tick or the whole dmg of the DoT].
Which is 314-315 , so i took 314.
I choose the output "self" which the addon accepted so far.

So when do i get an output now? I tried in the battlegrounds and it didnt work. Do i need to be in the arena ? Do i need to have the en/us client?

I read every readme file and used every help that i could find, but dont know why i dont get an output.

Great add on, but just a few minor tweeks i wouldn't mind seeing.

1) have it just save whole numbers and round up. i don't really need the .92731298739127.
2) have it just do the first dot tick. Gets kind of spammy.
3) output to combat texts (MSBT, sct, stock blizz etc.)
4. I think u had it on the todo list, but, have it adjust for changes in spelldamage, (getting felarmor purged skews data)

Thanks again tho. Its awesome.

Does not work, when /kra spell (name) is used, it sotres the spell name for only a short moment, and then auto clears it when asked for /kra spell , not at any point does it calculate anything, or am i completly missing something, and yes i did /kra base (number)
