Question: Fallen Crusade x Swordshattering ? Currently I'm at 2454 rating in 3v3 - R3 on Reckoning in :deathknight::warlock::shaman: and basically since release of cataclysm I haven't used Fallen Crusade. I know it's a HUGE dmg boost but is it worth it for lets say ä guaranted kill? Because I find a 10 seconds disarm pretty gamebreaking. I'm playing with a demo lock (tried affli too, but this works just perfect against cleaves) and sometimes it just comes into "the target has to die now" and then a full duration disarm could make us lose. As I've been looking around almost every DK has been using Fallen Crusade. So what's your opinion?

probably over the rare pvp trinkets (i still prefer the pvp once)
but the epic pvp trinkets are definitly better than hurrican

ofc, if you e.g. play doublehealer dk, i would use more pve gear (including hurrican card)

Giving up a 15% strength proc and the heal would probably be a bad idea. Strength is like ovaltine to DKs. It sucks being disarmed but you can still do a decent amount of stuff without your weapon, 5 more seconds of disarm doesn't beat added pressure leading to the disarm from the strength. The reason classes like rogues/warriors use weapon chains is because A. Pretty much EVERYTHING of theirs is weapon dependent B. They only give up a 1000 ap for 12 second proc, fallen crusader is a much more potent proc.

Engineering
* Mystic Cogwheel is a new Engineering Cogwheel gem which provides resilience rating and can be purchased from the Engineering vendor for 55 Honor Points.

Best profession change so far! :)

Bloodthirsty vs. Reinforced Bio-Optic Killshades after this change looks to me like 92 Mastery, 55 Res vs. 147 Haste, 41 Str, 32 Stam, 57 Armor.

Might go back to Killshades until I've bought the other pieces.

For the moment 2h Frost - go for mastery and therefore frost pres or go haste and stick to unh pres? Second thing Oblitarate or skip it -> spam FS with NS if needed?

Thanks for some advice.

Even as frost you want to be using unholy presence because the .5 less GCD. Frosts big hitting ability is obliterate, if anything you probably wont be using necrotic strike since that unholy rune will only absorb 4-5k healing whereas obliterate does at least double that in raw damage.

Thanks. So, sticking to str -> haste instead of str -> mastery? If yes, is it cause there is not enough mastery out there, to compensate loss of haste/rune recovery etc. with higher burst dmg ?

Str->haste is only for unholy, str->master is the preference for frost. It's just that 15% haste, .5 sec faster GCD and run speed beats 15% damage and small runic power generation.

So, new patch is here and with the game being slowed down and us given the Glyph of Dark Succor, what's you opinion on gems? Still a resilience stacking or switch to str? I'm playing a shadowcleave with shammy.. ;)

I'd suggest staying with resil stacking, and look into using maybe a pve trinket. The new alchemist trinket is retarded (http://www.wowhead.com/item=68775) 351 str, 78 haste, 116 mastery once you put a 40 strength gem into it and reforge the mastery to haste. There's also crushing weight which is passive strength and a mini-heroism proc.
