That's why I'm staring at your fucking pet bar and all it has is splash frostbolt, you didn't send it into attack until 2 seconds into DF, and even then you didn't pop leap.

You were LoS of your druid, you can't try to cover that up, you have a debuff frame right next to your health bar. By some miracle of god, he was in fact imp cs'ed, he didn't put up a hot for 6 seconds, which the reason is blatantly obvious.

The mage went nova->DF, guess what your action bar was showing? Scourge Strike

You know that's not my video right?

edit: I think it's Dark Sim. being used, not ScS. ScS is the 6th button in.

I didn't watch the video but nothing should die 100-0 in a deepfreeze to only mage dmg. Thats stupid and broken.

Is that the appropriate ability? You can tear me up for criticizing you and not another DK with similar excuses. Fact is, he LoS'ed hardcore from his druid partner, uploaded a 10 second clip of him getting rocked 60% of his healthbar in a shatter. (28k frostbolt is impossible without any procs on a target that supposedly has 2500 resil. People who are wearing PvE gear complaining about taking too much damage.)

If memory serves me correctly, dipshits who criticize the game mechanics before they criticize themselves get more attention from the developers. Do any of you at all remember what Levidian did? He was complaining that ES damage was too low, they buffed ES damage, and the entire time he was using rank 1(and he was still killing stuff.)

Even still, such damage shouldn't be possible by any class.

Dark Simulacrum would have made Deep Freeze usable by the DK.

I'm pretty sure no one should die in a single deep freeze from 90% to 0. Its like s5 DKs all over again!

I am also pretty sure your mad.

wow this guy defending this is hilarious. So anyone is required to play perfectly and manage cooldowns perfectly every time a deep freeze is up? give me a break. What about the 8 classes that cant stun/silence with a pet while they are stunned?

you're just making yourself look dumb defending it lol

It's more a matter of every single thread devolving into people complaining about mages/ice lance and then Affx rides in and woefully understates reality in an attempt to defend the current state of mages -- when that happens there is just no way I'm NOT going to post.

I have no ingrained reason to hate mages; I have an 80 mage. But let's call a spade a spade. Ice lance is grotesquely overpowered at 85.

Actually there might be something to mages in general, only a few days ago I was flamed by mages in the mage forum for my opinion that Deep Freeze has a short cooldown. True story.

At 80 in the full Savage set, geared appropriately (i.e. full crit because that's all we can really afford), your ice lances will do about 15k damage to a full savage opponent, also geared appropriately. They'll have about 115-120k health.

They fought back against stat inflation very aggressively, such that if you gear for, reforge for, and gem for full crit, you'll have roughly 22-24% crit in full Savage gear. That's still fairly low for Shatter, so that's really our only option. This means you'll have 3-5% haste, mostly from talents, and near-zero Mastery.

If you DF a target without IV or Time Warp up at 85, you'll have time to lance it 3 times for 45k damage, assuming they all crit. On average (meaning, factoring in your crit rate), they'll do about 38k damage.

If you pop IV or TW, you can get 4 lances in for a maximum of about 60k damage, averaging about 51k.

So no, you won't be killing people in a DF at 85, at most you'll do a little more than 1/3rd of their health without cooldowns popped, 2/5ths with cooldowns popped.

You're talking about icelance.

^Used fbolt>fbolt>ffb>dffades>icelance and he 90-0's someone.

Maybe you're doin it wrong.

so mages are imba, affix doesn't accept that and understates the reality of the situation, then some other mage that wants to be affix tries to do the same thing, but fails. Am I missing anything?
