So it would seem that Sacred shield has currently been removed from the beta, on mmo-champion it was removed from the spell-listing for paladins, and I saw a few posts from beta-testers about it being taken out.

Although I have yet to see any blue posts regarding this change. Either way, I think sacred shield was a bit overpowered but removing it completely seems a bit much.

EDIT: # Holy - Your healing spells also place an absorb shield on your target for 8% of the amount healed lasting 6 sec. Absorb increased further by mastery rating.

You do realize that he plays a paladin in a game and is not, in fact, a real-life paladin?

Sacred Shield is a bit too strong when you use it on a friendly, but on yourself it is the only way to survive any kind of nuke.

I hope we get another kind of defensive mechanic, atleast to keep ourself alive.

Divine protection getting changed to 1min cooldown 20% dmg reduction that doesn't cause forbearance, sounds fun.

I suggested on the WOW Paladin forums beefing up Blessed Life. It has always been very underwhelming and in the new CAT talent calculators they have moved it very deep into the holy tree. For being so deep it is very mediocre. It would be far more appealing and worth consideration at that level if it were 10/20 or even 9/18 than 5/10.

Just another Salvation glyph, which is probably being removed. That was dispelable (like Divine Protection). On the other hand we are talking Cataclysm, perhaps we won't be the easiest class out there to global in the middle of the map. That was also due to our HS bugging 24/7 and we only had 1 instant heal. Now we will get some more like +runspeed and shit.

Hmm yeah well, depends on how much mastery scale.

if you take a round number like 10%, a HS can crit for like 10K (talking lvl 80 here) the shield with base 10% (its 8 but go along here) would only be a 1K absorb. Obviously when this scales and you get to spam FoL (it might not stack, which would be pretty balanced)... THEN it will be pretty godlike.

Lets see how it turns out if it stacks, gets boosted through the roof etc. but yeah sounds like it needs alot of tuning.

Well just going off of what i read there, it has the possibility of being retarded, depending on how much we heal for and whether or not it stacks.

Sacred shield is retarded for Holy currently, but without it as Ret I feel like a sponge. Currently it only absorbs half the damage of holy paladins (I think, not sure).

Ret needs something to make up for this imo.

Hopefully the new mechanic will stack with itself, otherwise it'll render pretty weak.
